Would "Home of Multiple different types of Smash communities " work then? A bit of a mouthful.

Better yet, change it to "HOME OF THE HIGHLY DYSFUNCTIONAL SMASH COMMUNITY." I think thats something we can all agree on.

Because saying "Home of the Armchair Warrior Nerds Who Break Keyboards Over a Nintendo Party-Turned-Fighter game" is a mouthful and would increase the butthurt moreso than that Sakurai interview.

Let's create some factions for the communities present:
  • The Nomadic 64 tribe: (excluding the god awful social) they are small and humble
  • The Autocratic Melee Kingdom: largest, belligerent, and notable; Project M is a satellite state
  • The [Almost Dead] Brawl Dynasty: the butt of all jokes, panned for :metaknight: and for it's slower movement
  • The Republic of U: A new community with promise, can't decide on either leaning towards Melee or Brawl

This isn't just a pride issue, this is about having different goals as well.

Smash 4 has is simple, all it cares about is being what it wants to be and proving it's good.

However, then we get things like Melee.

Melee...can't last forever. And with Nintendo not going out of their way for them, things start getting heated.

What reason do they have to constantly call brawl and smash 4 bad games? Simple, because if they criticize those games enough times, maybe Sakurai and Nintendo will notice and make another "Offensive" or "Like Melee" or whatever they want to call it type game. They won't have to worry about melee dying then.

And what about project M? They could be dead at any moment now.

With that said, how the Project m community is reacting currently is burning me up. A lot admit to not knowing that much about the legal situation and they still are really attacking Nintendo for it.

Really, I would like to see a community, but I gave up on that as soon as I joined this forum. We are just too different despite being built on the same game series. People are blinded too much on hatred to understand facts of the matter.

More power to you. I'm glad there are people who do want to see such a beautiful dream.

I just personally see it as more trouble then it's worth. People just want to fight for what they believe. They don't care who is in the way.
