Bus ride through the countryside is like being in a roller-coaster. And I had to endure it for 12 hours.
I know I've heard you say this before, so I just want to ask...
What exactly do you do that makes it so that you have to take such long bus rides?
I'm just curious, that's all.

Anybody else having the distinct, important issue of not being able to decide what songs to use on what stage in Smash 4?
Not really. I took about 20 minutes setting each and every song to specific levels.
Some levels, such as Halberd, Have all songs on the Maximum appearance rate.

I regularly change mine weekly.

A while back, I posted some name changes for myself. I admit some of them drew inspiration from real members. That being said, I'm actually considering changing my username. It's a big and controversial deal for me. Due to my penchant for very odd usernames, here are some ideas I had:

Guardanian Apostle
The Golden Lie
Fire Born of Life
unveiling roses
The Mages
Blinding the Utopian
Primrose Rebellions
Mother Hates Me
Sighs in the Waste
Why?
Buying Credits
Aerobolitic Ioptic
Bunnified Death Monster
Some Hatred He Wore
Murder She Wrote
England's Minstral
The Grives
Diresome Gravehall
Primrose Wintersnaps
Tearduct Revenge
Azure Azurian
Cobalt Colbatian
I Belong Here
iS
Summerbread
Castivian of the Prince
Castillo de Paraíso
Pretty in Periwinkle
Grimton Helmsly
Violent Hues were Shed
Deep Space Symphonic
FEARboy
The Dragonic
Make me Break me
To Father....
O Lord, See
The Widow
Candlekindler
Malymasmix
Georgian. Belle
Emotastic Edgerrific

That is the fastest way to go to my hometown from the town where university is. The rickety buses are like 30-40 years old.
The other option is a train-ride, but I'll have to trade a tumbling ride for standing 75% of the time. They're even more crowded than the bus. (Imagine over 200 people crammed into a carriage for 100 people.)

I'm also very homesick so I leave for home whenever I get 4-5 holidays in a row (like this time from 21-26 Jan). I just wish university was closer to home. (-_-)

oh and the infamous "BONK!"

btw, oot is still fun to watch in speedun especially for the bingo on Sturday night.

oot is so broken in speedrun it's actually funny to watch.

Who would have thought that a glitch would allow finishing it under 30 minutes?

Does anyone want to play Smash Wii U? Getting used to the Gamecube controller after a decade of not holding one, so I suck right now haha.

That doesn't sound fun ><

I'd love to experience that though. My longest commute is 50 minutes by car through mountains and forest here in Japan. That's a fun ride - especially if I hsm to Celtic heavy metal

I like these ones.
On what are these names based on? Movies? Songs? Literature?

I know how you feel. I take long bus rides all the time going into Canada from bloomington. They're all pretty tedious.

I think this game progressed a lot then.

But super metroid is another classic in speedrunning. it's freaking crazy. I heard that there was a glitch where you had to input the dash button 4 times after a very specific amount of frames and it is frame perfect. Because of this, I heard that a speedrunner had to play a metronome in its head to get the rythm right....

Seriously, I should watch the Friday night race again.....it's so awesome to watch each week....

But I think the most popular game is sm64....the number of race and run this game got is outstanding.

As for Paper Marfio series....the first one WAS hyped, but not anymore. As for the others....TTYD only got slight but I think it's really dying now and there wasn't much to begin with.

SPM, forget about it, it's even worse.

Now, here's an interesting thing: I heard that some speedrunner found sticker star more enjoyable to speedrun than playing th egame normally. Which sounds silly, but would actually make sense. Though, not much hype due to the obvious hate (which is imo perfectly justified).

oot and dk64 are the most messed up games I watched while in speedrun, but dk64 is so broken that it made the following joke:

if you're a dk64 speedrunner, you don't know what a "wall" is.

I'm serious, the hitbox are broken all over the place....

So this is a thing. Apparently they hung out during Magfest(or Pax, dunno which but its very recent), and Danny hung out with Jon sometime last month. Also Grumps announced they gonna finish old unfinished project as well as have a series dedicated to guest apperances (Grumpicide), so let your imagination run wild.
EDIT:

Guess the controversy is over

Damn, and to think the train rides between my hometown and the University were long. :o

I take around 4 hours on the high-speed trains here in Portugal, which already makes going home a big hassle. The prices aren't cheap either, but being 21 years old gives me a discount. :chuckle:

Good thing I take my 3DS to play along the ride, though.

As a reference, the distance between my hometown and the University is over 300 km.

Why didn't you just rent a room at the dorm, Frosty?

I do live in a rented house. Like, isn't it obvious I need a place to live, considering the distance of over 300 km?

You really thought I do two 4-hour train rides every single weekday? That's insanity and would make me miss a lot of classes, not to mention it would be tiresome as **** and expensive as hell. Each train ride is a little over 30€ with discount.

I only go home every once in a while.

The front page of Smashboards does serve a purpose.
I know, I just don't have much time to look at it because I got some college business to be working on

I'm just saying it's more convenient to live on campus than endure a long ride, considering I applied to higher level schools farther away from home than four hours.

You just don't do 4-hour train rides to go and return home every single day. It's absurd. It would be a total of 8 hours per day. It's a lot of time: a third of a day to be exact.

Of course I live near the University for most of the year. This should be painfully obvious when I said train rides take 4 hours, as no one in their sane mind would do such trips every single day to go to classes in the morning and a lot of times till 8 PM.

I should mention that the 4 hour rides are on the high-speed trains, as the other options are longer (around 6-7 hours).

Not too familiar with Guilty Gear, but someone did an 8-Bit cover of Slayer's theme. I thought it was cool.

In my case the distance is similar, about 350 km. Too bad the route is mountainous, which automatically slows down the speed at which you can safely go.

Though I like to think I've been hardened a bit because of it. :4pacman:

That's pricey. It costs me barely 2€ (Rs. 125) by train and 4€ (Rs. 300) by bus. :p

Mountainous route isn't the case for me. It would be if I was from the northeast of the country. I'm from the south, which has a lot less mountains than the northern half of the country.

Like me with the city buses whenever I have to go to classes and there are no free places to sit.

It's around 15 minutes every ride between the rented house and the campus.

That's pricey. It costs me barely 2€ by train and 4€ by bus. :p
The slower trains are cheaper but nowhere near that cheapness. If I traveled via normal trains, I'd pay around 20€, but not only the ride would be slower (and with more stops along the way), I'd have to wait 1 hour and half in Lisbon to switch trains.

Buses have more or less the same price and travel time.

Rotoscope had made for some of the best animation back in the day. I suppose newer series don't really need to use it now, since we've seen a lot of improvement from the 1930's. Not just that there's color but that we more people with have the talent to draw fluidly enough without it. Still, I wonder if more modern animation projects will consider using it.
