I watched the anime before, I just don't remember that specific scene. I remember it being so fan-servicey that it made me hesitant to watch Kill la Kill due to it looking like it had fanservice. Thank god I eventually watched it though.

We're all masochists; we all derive pleasure from our our suffering. We love the pain, the smell and taste of our blood and tears, and we become excited from our screams of pain.

....but I disagree. For me, pain = anger. Enough anger = rage. Rage = something or someone gets hurt.

This is why I try my damnedest not to get into a fight. Not because I'm afraid of getting hit, but because I'm afraid of what happens after getting hit.

Well, that was an interesting series of matches; I ended up going through 21 characters messing with a dude named jordan. Fun matches, though, since the guy didn't use cheap tactics, but did a lot of combos. Anyway, he had a really good ROB which is surprising since I don't see ROBs much anywhere. His Samus, Dark Pit, Mario, and Marth were all pretty good too, but that ROB stands out because of how uncommon ROB is.

Oh, and I found out that watching a ton of matches from VGBootCamp and such really do help. Fox was my crutch character in past games in a sense that I was most familiar with his moveset and because his Side and Up Smashes are powerful, well, fighting Foxes and watching videos, I ended up being able to incorporate a lot of stuff like short hop Illusions, Fair, Nair, Dair, Uair, Utilt, and Bair - I didn't know Fox's Bair could kill that well, it's no Falco Bair, but it's pretty damn good - usage. Kind of weird how sometimes mindlessly watching things can do that to you.

Then again, it was the same with Pit, Mario, Luigi, Zelda, and Samus. It's why I think losing is good if you get something out of it, especially if you're losing to someone who's overall better than you or has a really good understanding with a set of characters. I wouldn't have known Fox's Bair killed at that range if someone didn't kill me with it and I wouldn't have known Samus's D-throw and Fair combo or Zelda's D-throw to Nair combo.

Losing to a spammer or tryhard is just frustrating and useless. Sure you can learn how to punish a set of moves, but you won't learn combos and how to react or even use them, plus, when are you going to see a Ness in tournament play spamming PKT2? Unless it's input checking or they're messing around after the tournament, then almost never.
