I really dont care about Fire Emblem and love Metroid but I dont see a problem there. Japan just doesnt like Metroid. Similar situation with how Zelda performs in the west vs Japan.

Yep, not sure why though. I guess it's too inspired from Western fantasy series, much like Metroid is with Western Sci-Fi.

Which is a shame, the Metroid games are mostly great, barring Other M.
