You didn't quite get the point.

My point is, much like how all veterans haven't changed too much from their initial concept over the course of the series, Ganondorf hasn't changed too much from his Melee debut either.

Sure, all the clones got some divergent evolution through the series, but their foundation remains the same. That said, I believe it's possible to give some unique flair to Ganondorf without straying too much from his foundation.

And Ganondorf wasn't the only character to get redesigns throughout the series either, as you have Fox, Falco, Marth, Ike, Captain Falcon, Samus, Zero Suit Samus, as well as fellow series characters Link, Zelda and Sheik.

Nah, he died when Sakurai touched him and put him in Brawl.

"Every character I touch who won't have a new game coming up is mine now." ~ Sakurai, when adding ROB in Smash 4.

Same reason why Goku is in SSF2.


I must be in the minority that loves both "differences" that has through the years.

In the end, he is just a fat anti-hero.

Before, Wario was an anti-hero, but he was also a crazy bounty hunter who could anything for money. With funny plateformers, Wario had a lot of success.
But then, Wario Ware came up. Wario was now a fat and lazy man, who rides a weirdly shaped motorcycle since he's not like any human being. He was weird, but still had his greedy personality.
And one day, one man came up. Creator of the Kirby series, Masahiro Sakurai decided to put Wario in his next Smash game, and decided to "remake the character a bit".
The result ? Wario is now known as a disgusting fat man, who farts on people, eats anything he sees and wants to stomp everyone with his bike. His bounty hunter days are gone now. The final nail of his coffin was in, thanks to Sakurai.
Wario is now a joke who'll never have a real game.

Why am I writing this anyway ?

I think it should be progressive, as in, not changing everything in one go, but change things little by little through the course of the series, which is what I think Sakurai is aiming for.

He got overhauled in Brawl. Now with custom moves, he gets some more unique flair by having different stuff from Falcon. Of the two Warlock Punch variations, one has him firing a short ranged magic blast from the back of his fist (a bit like Ocarina of Time in the scene right before his boss battle), the other has him stab with the sword.

Lol soz for what I said, I didn't mean it to come out like that, what with SS being my fav Zelda, I wanted Ghirahim to be playable and at the very least have the SS looks for Link and Zelda to be alternates, if not the main version. But I can see that SS did get a lot of representation, just not in the way I wanted. I still love Smash and Sakurai forever though

Yeah, but it really became popular with Smash. Still, I don't like what they did to Wario. His last real game was on Wii. It was a fantastic game, but apparently, Nintendo prefer to use him with Wario Ware.

It's just sad to see a character devolve like that. From a funny bounty hunter to an unoriginal farting guy, Wario sure is sad to see nowadays. And it won't stop, until one guy at Nintendo decides to do an other Wario Land.

Last I checked, WarioWare is more popular in Japan.

The only resemblance to Wario Land in Smash is the slight heavyweight feel he has.

Though I have loads of nostalgia for Wario Land 3, my first GBC game and simply an awesome game, I actually don't mind Wario's portrayal in Smash. *shrugs*

Why does a smoker fit well for Mio?

I dunno, Nichijou is so vast, you can fit a lot of stuff in the universe. The simple fact that I found a way to make an Ace Attorney crossover with it proves my point. Though you can't fit everything in it. You can't add Dio in Nichijou for example (even though I'm sure I could find a way to put him in for the fun of it.).
But for Mio smoking, I guess it can fit the character.

And the thing is the only time I haven't been ok with an opinion is when someone said that all characters are too competitive smashers is frame data and moves.

Which:
1. I didn't respond too
2. Is totally untrue because I remember when M2K said on stream once that he would not play smash if it didn't have Nintendo characters in it. Which I happen to also agree with >_>
