Dark Link is pretty similar given the different art styles
Fierce Diety pretty much hit the nail on the head minus the sword imo

In regards to Kid Icarus, I've played both the original and Uprising. Never played the Game Boy one, though.

Also, Kid Icarus was created before Sakurai even started his career.

Fun fact: the creator of Kid Icarus, Toru Osawa, also was the script director for Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

You should try out Of Myth and Monsters sometime. It's fun but sometimes a bit hard in some parts.

Yeah, he pretty much re-invented the series with Brawl and Kid Icarus: Uprising, as the game used designs based on Brawl for Pit, Palutena and the Centurions.

Another fun fact: Sakurai has said that, after Brawl was unveiled, the creator of Kid Icarus jokingly asked him if he could make a Kid Icarus spin-off using Pit's then new design. Funny how things turned out with Sakurai developing Kid Icarus: Uprising some years later...

(And as I write this, I note that Pit's new design is almost 9 years old... Damn... It's been almost a decade since Brawl's first trailer! =O)

I feel the same way. If I played characters for who they are, I'd play Greninja a lot more. I think I'm finally starting to figure him out, but he's still incredibly foreign to me. I don't often play rushdown characters.

Gen 5 talk, eh? I'll admit it wasn't great- it was, and still is unlike a lot of other gens, bloody fantastic. The Pokemon, the region, the baddies, the Gyms, Elite Four, the story, the outstanding graphical sprites and overworld which made every past gen look like crap. Oh and of course the Pokemon, over 150 and the most, and also most creative and varied group Game Freak have ever made. They even FINALLY made a load of amazing Bug types for crying out load! And don't get me started on the legendaries. Overall as you can guess I still love gen 5, but then again I love the franchise as a whole and don't have one gen that I dislike so I might be biased. A little anyway I'll sound off with this, one of the best sounding things ever in Pokemon.
