Ideas for what could be the battle entrances for cut characters in Smash 4:
- Ice Climbers, Wolf, Lucas, Snake: same as Brawl.
- Ivysaur, Squirtle: like solo Charizard, they'd come out of a Poké Ball.
- Pichu: comes out of a Poké Ball.
- Roy: enters via Warp (like all FE characters) and unsheathes his sword, causing a small burst of flame.
- Young Link: enters in a whirlwind (like Link) wearing a Keaton Mask, putting it away afterwards.

Pichu could hatch from an Egg, considering it repped the baby Pokemon.

Young Link could appear in a ball of feathers as if he just used the Song of Soaring:

The Keaton Mask is a good idea though!

Fun game. Want to have a go at some other popular names: Dixie, K.Rool, Paper Mario, Bandana Dee etc.?

They did in the 1st xenoblade, so it's a possibility.

Not on New 3DS though I think, for space reasons. Western Wii version was between 5 and 6 GB, New 3DS has been compressed down to 3.6 to fit on a 4 GB card. I bet it lost the Japanese vocal track in the process.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Japanese option in Xenoblade Chronicles X considering the previous game had, as well as other games like Fire Emblem: Awakening or Bravely Default.
