Not really, the Episodes were to bridge the gap between Half-Life 2 and an eventual Half-Life 3. From what I heard though, they'll just do Half-Life 3.

Only if it introduces something new to the FPS genre or even gaming. Half-Life is famous for introducing new concepts to video games. Half-Life 3 needs something for it to stand out amongst the rest and redefine the FPS genre, much like it's prequels.

Otherwise, we'll have another Duke Nukem Forever on our hands. And quite frankly, I'd like to forget about that..."incident".

Pfft. Aethercide is too good to give up, also Ike saying screw logic and phasing his sword through the stage to hit people is far more awesome.

There's an obscure German term which I forget, but refers to the theme of getting lost in the supermarket and failing to find your companion(s) as they also struggle to find you.
