I think ever since I picked up smash, I have played less and less games. I used to love pokemon, but now I can't stand playing it for more than a battle. Even that's too much. I guess that's part of getting older too.

@Brian: I'm not entirely sure if the trigger buttons can be fixed if they're messed up the way you and Fly described it. I mean you could take it apart and see if it has to do with the spring or the rubber...

@no one in specific: I remember reading somewhere that some guy took apart his controller because his analog stick was loose and and stupid. IIRC, he used a mixture of vaseline and crazy glue to both stiffen it and lubricate it -- something like that.

@Joe: I **may** try that because I think I have a soldering gun, as well as a controller with a messed up stick. I guess it's a project.

the controller i bought used from amazon just arrived

just as described!

i am so excited because it's exactly what you want in a controller -- broken in with a fairly loose analog, yet still looks to be in good condition for the long-term

now i'm gonna practice sheik, falco and fox tech skill all day long!

I love my controller

the bottom right part of the c-stick is worn down from up airs and the analog doesn't have any grips any more

i've been using pocky's spare controller
it would sometimes light shield after i wavedashed
i figured it was mostly my fault

yesterday it started shielding automatically

is there a known cause for this?

also, i might be in the market for a controller if this one is ****ed up
we'll see though, im hoping this can be fixed
ok exact same thing happened to my l-trigger
mine did not do that "click" noise that it does when it reaches the bottom

after opening it up n seeing, n comparing the r-trigger to l-trigger, i just decided to compare the little rubber (like the one between the buttons and motherboard)
it was ripped from the middle, making the lightshield stay on

what i did was exchange the r-trigger rubber with the l-trigger rubber (since i dont use R)

but if you do use it, u might want to get the rubber off some other controller

The rubber part of my main controller is loose/comming off. I then try to wear in my "new" controller for about an hour but the L button sucks and I always get sloppy waveshines/wavedashes.

I really need a tri wing.

Hey i just got a silver controller and i was wondering exactly the differences were between that and the other ones... it feels slightly thicker and more sturdy, but doesnt have the controlling feel i like / am used to... is it something that is usable just needs time? or is it like one of those ****ty controllers i should just not use?

there's something different about the way the silver controller's shoulder button slots are designed such that the buttons often 'catch' there

nope

you can just open it up, take out the triggers, then use the screwdriver to scrape away a little of the plastic on the back part

it took me playing with another controller yesterday to realize how much i like mine now

on a related note:
if i bought like 20 triwing screwdrivers and brought them to a tourney, who would buy one for $5

Does anyone know where to get analog sticks? I wreck mine like crazy; the plastic tears off of the edges of the control stick, and then the entire plastic covering falls off. Are you selling them, Rei?
