Have you tried it? The timing's hard as hell :V

Besides, Sheik has a really short dash, so you can easily just foxtrot back and forth.

Well lol, I'm working on my small pivots but I think this is alot more useful for my sheik than just foxtrotting back and forth. And since its short, it would resemble something much like melee's dash-dance but spacing wise IDK

What Ankoku said

I tried doing this for a good 30 minutes when I first saw it and after not doing well at all I basically just decides sheik Dash dance didn't get nerf that much anyways so why learn this one if I can still do the normal dash dance?

It honestly looks like perfect wavedashes with no crouch animation, this might be the new wavedash.

It will take a certain level of direction sticking skill, and high level of muscle memory and training for this to work in battle.

Might just actually use it

The dash dance is still very much in Brawl. Why do people seem to think otherwise?

Anyway, I don't really see the point in it if you can just do a normal dashdance. It seems kinda complicated, and I doubt getting a smash attack out of it would be that easy.

When given the option to pointlessly run back and forth like an idiot, or actually do something useful in a fight...

...I do believe I would pick the latter.

...maybe...MAYBE...this could be useful. But as it seems right now, it just looks like people are trying to find bits and pieces of Melee in Brawl that don't need to be found to make the game better/more technical.

This would be very useful for things like sheik's fsmash, etc, but...I was actually watching it the other day, since I use marth and...well, I did it a couple times. Seems to be easier using the cstick and control stick in conjunction, but...not enough of a success rate to convince me just yet.
