Eh, wait a minute. Now, Sonic may lack finishers, but he's a pretty good hit and run character.

All characters are the same since they're different.

Sonics moves aren't that predictable. I haven't played the game, but from what I've seen he has a great moveset. Brawl is awesome so there is no more reason to discuss its awesomeness.

than wait till you have to critisize it. it tried really hard to get good with sonic. what you probobly have seen videos of is people who main him and no one else, or the other guy who was fighting sonic was a noob.

he is good for hit and run, in sume parts, but not a good finisher, which really matters.

cool! Thread!....
thanks, glad you could be apart of it.

"I LOVE IT"

Brawl is amazing. Played the Japanese version. Feels awkward at first, but you will get use to it.

Apparently, he couldn't do anything with Sonic, which is why he's bashing him.
He said he's had the privilege of playing Brawl.
That could mean one match, two matches,
something like that. Far be it from me to call him a liar.

Sssssssarcasm? Up to you. :D

Glen doesn't own the game.
He's nowhere near a reliable source.

Actually I need to apologize for this tone. But firstly do you have a spellcheck on your browser? It'd help loads.

Secondly I direct you to my thread in my sig, where you can learn not to suck balls with Sonic.
k first off. who said i sucked with sonic. i know i didnt. I usually win when i do 1 v 1 when i use sonic. i am just really mad that Sonic did not meet the standards of not only me, but quite a few great smashers. like i said before. i will not be using sonic again and the only reason i used him is because i was a huge sonic fan and expected him to be great.

second. my computer is so slow that if i were to use spell check, i would literaly crash. plus this is a forum, not english class, i dont need to be right on with my spelling and grammer. also, i type fast because i would rather do things besides type back slow and acurate just to please some fat kid looking at his computer getting hard.

so, if your such a "sonic is great and im the best at using him" guy, than when it comes out, i will give you my wii code and we can brawl it out. my Luigi vs your sonic, and we will see who wins.

Actualy if you had read my post the other day you would realize that i played brawl quite a bit.

have you even played the game?

You have not read whats been going on in this thread so i would suggest that you shut your trap till you understand it.

the nerve of people like you who think your all that. but i got to tell you. YOUR NOT!!!

By the way, has any besides me got atleast 10 hours of brawl play? i would like to have a conversation with the people who actualy have played the game. not people who are just bored and come in here flaming about nothing they know about.

lets try to keep this thread positive from now on people.

Played japanese version for about 10 matches with most of the newcomers unlocked! First impression in FFA. No need to shorthop or fastfall that much.
Favourite characters were DeDeDe, Pokemon Trainer and Wario. Disappointed deeply in Sonic...

So I just kind of randomly stumbled upon this thread. Sonic does not suck. I am not saying that as a fan. He doesn't suck. He has his Fsmash and Spring gimps. The spring can gimp at 60%. His fsmash can reach almost as far as marths fsmash if you do the extended version. His uair has crazy priority if spaced properly. Even more so then Luigis sex kick o_O. He has a great recovery and all. I am not saying he is the best. Far from it actually, but he isn't bad. It is annoying me when I see all these "Sonic is bad" posts. To quote Hugs he said "Right now, we all suck with Sonic" and it is very true. We don't know how to use him yet. He is just underrated.

Also, Glenn when people offend you. You can't just offend them back by telling them to shut up or assume they're unknowledgable. Then say "Let's try to keep this thread positive"

Also, if you retort with "When Brawl comes out give me your wii number!!!" I will when it comes out haha.

i have to say i was very impressed with pokemon trainer. i thought he would be a complete failor. but it turned out to be sonic.

cool im definatly ready for some good smash.

but yeah, what i ment by lets keep it positive was to try and keep flaming from happening in this thread. i know i was kind of contridicting myself by argueing back, but i felt like the conversation needed to be addressed.

Hmm, I don't seem to remember..

Anyways, I think it's too early for me to give a solid opinion of it compared to Melee at this point, but I certainly did have a lot of fun playing, especially with Pokemon Trainer.

Played it. I'm pleased, even impressed. I hate to say it but I'll be moving on from Melee. If there is anything I'm not pleased with, is that Peach is a bit awkward to play for me now. Maybe that'll all change once I have the game and I'm able to sit down and play it and learn.

I've played Brawl, and love it... I mean, I loved the fast paced nature of Melee, but Brawl gave me a chance to think straight instead of ingraining things into my brain to react... Toon Link is really good... such a good camper, and has nice attacks... Pokemon Trainer was most disappointing to me, but I only played him for a couple matches, so it's probably that I can't play him... Pit was good once you got to learn how to use him too... I love that they tried to balance people, but they might've overdone the nerfs and buffs... but I can't wait for it, it's going to be so much fun

It's overall a great expereince. The whole set-up of the engine and what goes into every match (detail. nostalgia, etc.) is just amazing. It is on par with what we have hoped for, can't wait to have my own copy after a taste of the import...

Before I played brawl I was planning on maining Lucas, Toon Link, and Lucario. With nearly 5 hours of play time with the japanese version, I've decided on Wario, Snake, and Pokemon Trainer. Haha none of my original choices! The game is pretty much everything you want it to be. It seems to move a little slower than melee and faster than 64, it's a good median. Its hella fun!

I've had the privalage of playing brawl and i have got to say, there are some significantly great things, and bad things. but most of all im very disapointed with sonic and how bad and predictable his moves are.

Is there anyone else out there who has some good, bad, or strange feelings on there first play of brawl?
I got to play at the tourny in SF but only with starter characters. They only allowed the wiimote though which was a huge learning curve for everyone, dodgeroll is impossible to do with this style... whoever perfects it... I want your babies.....

Besides that it looks clean cut. Oh BTW... Meta Knight kicks, ahhhh yeah

I actually had a similar experience when I played Brawl. The characters I ended up really loving were not the ones that I initially was excited about.

I'm playing it at home every day, even a 5min match before work does it. It's just too awesome!
My favorite, Shiek, got nerfed too much. But Pikachu has been buffed! This is one of the greatest improvements imho! Metaknight is my main for now. He's just a badass ;).

The stages are great! Small stages, big stages, Melée stages, custom stages, everything is possible! I still have to unlock the "Big Blue" with Cpt. Falcon though ;) was my fav map in Melée.

I like that grabbing an edge is much easier due to the fact that you can grab edges even if you look the other way. This makes edgeguarding possible even to me! ;) Just run off the cliff and your char will automatically grab for the edge.

Air fights have become much cooler thanks to Metaknight and Pit. Combos are possible with which you can K.O. your enemy with a short amount of time and a bit of luck.

The items rock! I'm finding stickers everywhere, and soundtracks from time to time. My fav item is the soccer ball. If you hit it strong enough, it will become a really deadly weapon, and you can hit it in many directions.

The Final Smashes are a great addition to the game. Some are inba, but you can avoid many of them [like the landmaster, Metaknight's dimension cape or Pikachu's whatever-it's-called-and-I-don't-know-the-strength-of-it-attack]. Avoiding them makes the game much more interesting. Taking all hopes from your enemies just feels too good *droolz* x)

Soundtrack is great! A liiiiittle bit too much of the SSBB theme everywhere, but that's not that biga deal.

WiFi mode doesn't work for me so far..I'm beating the crap out of the sandback at the loading phase but I just can't connect to anyone.

Altogether, Brawl succesfully overrun Melée to me! It's worth every penny!
And now I have to preorder the USA version..;)
