Yeah, you guys may remember me as the guy who complained about Marth's tiara in General Discussion. I apoligize for this (though I'm still not a fan of the tiara).

Guess I've decided that with such an awesome cape and being as broken as a toy from the Dollar Tree , whats not to like. And he can't be gay seing as how he married a princess at the age of 17.

So I'm going to ignore the things I don't like and start using Marth as one of my mains. With his changes from Melee, he is much more powerful (B-Forward that I don't need to try hard to use fully ftw!).

Things you don't like about Marth:

~Wears a hairband indicating his royal status.
~Might be gay because of it.

Things you like about Marth:

~You think he's broken.
~Married a female.
~Cool cape.

The result:

~Gonna start playing Marth.

Excellent reasoning. Congratulations and welcome to the Marth board.

Yes, welcome to the dark side.:) Feel free to tap into our vast pool of knowedge @ will.

P.S. Its not a tiara. Its a headband (or hairband I guess). When you see girls walking around with the same thing marth has in his hair in theirs, do you say"I like your tiara"?

Lol typically when I think of headband I think of Ike's headband. And I don't really see a lot of girls walking around with hairbands. They must not be in style where I live lol.

2shay. You may have a point. I know only 1 girl who "spams" hairbands that match her outfits to school everyday and everyone else doesn't wear them often. Then again she is kinda (*cough* bipolar) I mean "unique". Anyway, a few tips...

1) Don't dair unless you plan to spike
2) Use c-stick for fairs so you can space them to where the enemy can't punish (if you have classic or gamecube controller)
3) Use ALL of marth's moves and learn when to
4) Dancing blade is the ultimate way to approach/punish those whol like spotdodging
5) Try not to grab very often.
6) Learn to reverse marth's up+b for recovery
7) Before hopping offstage to spike, turn around then aim with the back part of the swing instead of the tip of the bottom. Do the dair b4 you start falling from your jump (1st or 2nd one)
8) Learn how to deal with projectile spam (Pit's "sparrows" for example)

Lol she sounds interesting.

1) Aww... I like dair :ohwell: But I usually do intend on spiking with it.
2) I b-stick (trying to master Marth's b-stick b-air out of a dash or "b-air sticking" as I call it)
3) Yeah that might take a while.
4) Yeah =)
5) Yeah I've realized his throws suck. I usually miss grabs anyway.
6) This may be the most important thing... in training I usually SD when D-Air spiking someone to their death.
7) Thanks I'll keep that in mind.
8) How do I do this? Counter?

Best way to deal with projectile spam-->ftilt or jab them when you can. Otherwise, jump them with air dodge approach. It sounds incredibly stupid but when someone is being overly projectile campy, nothing's more creepy than a marth whacking every single projectile with his sword(canceling it out) and slowly walking forward....After about 20 seconds of it, most people give up running away every time and go for the melee attack(which is when you relentlessly slaughter them at close range =])

It's like having a spiked wall close in on you. You can throw whatever the hell you want at it. It's still coming for ya though.
