Snakes Perfect Stage?

What do all the other snake mains out there think his perfect stage is. I feel its Pokemon Stadium 2. It has so many changes that are well suited for snake. The snow stage makes his mortal slide slide across the whole stage, the air stage makes his n-air and d-air god like, and the electric place makes for good mindgames with grenades and c-4.

But this is just me, what do you guys think.

Norfair, IMO. Any stage with small platforms that you can lure yr opponent onto, really.

Just perfectshield their attack when trying to board the platform (hah) and Dthrow. Predict their wakeup and punish with Fsmash/Ftilt/tech chase into Dthrow.

I mean, Fsmash is basically his best move. No reason not to use a stage that gives him an advantage at using it, heh.

Either PictoChat, Lylat Cruise or Battlefield. BF for obvious reasons, Lylat because the platforms can camoflauge the d-smash mine and PictoChat because the main platform is small and since it is black it can make it hard to see planted C4.

Snake's best stage is most likely Smashville.

Explosions on the moving platform hit below it.

That's pretty much it. Not only do they have to fight snake, but they also have to be aware of his moving bomb.

C4 on the moving platform is ridiculously predictable... I barely use it anymore.

I'd rather save it for sticks or getting back to the edge.

I really don't see anything advantageous about Smashville, heh.

Lylat Cruise for me. Platforms are just the right height for a falling mortar to hit through them. They're great places for mines/C4, and it's really easy to dthrow tech chase grab on them. The whole tilting aspect of the stage can work well for you, if you're on the high side you can shield drop nades and they'll roll while cooking towards the opponent's side. If you're on the low side, you're relatively safe from projectiles by going prone and waiting them out.

Lylat, period. Pokemon 2 is the worst stage ever, the goal with snake is to control the fight, not getting owned because there are too many different factors involved, not to mention the big fans that make you fly since you are supposed to have a ground based game and not an aerial one.

Smashville is allso awesome, so is yoshi's too imo.

I'd say Smashville or Norfair.

Norfair has plenty of platforms which to hide C4 and claymores on, and his high knockback means he can knock people into the plentiful stage hazards. I also seem to have my up B gimped far less on this stage.

Smashville has a layout like Final Destination which is pretty good for Snake, but that moving platform is useful to plant a bomb on or take refuge from the enemies attack. Handy against Samus and other peole with good projectiles.

A lot of people are saying battlefield and Lylat, but those stages actually don't seem to be the best choices. Although both have platforms, those platforms are low enough to the ground that Snake is hit through them easily. He already seems to get juggled like crazy, and that just makes it worse. Lylat's tilting also means grenades will sometimes roll right off of the stage. Not a major issue, but it's still something to consider.

I agree, i don't see why everone thinks BF and Lylat are good stages. Like bloodypuppy said, the platforms are too low to the ground to get your C-4 or mine planted.

Smashville hands down, for my Snake anyway.

How often do you grab people on platforms? that sounds ridiculously situational, as any player worth their salt will get off of plat's asap versus Snake.

Stages with do many platforms like Battlefield and Lylat, Norfair etc. can really screw up Snake auto-cancelling ANY of his aerials thus making him entirely ineffective in the air.

For me I'd rather have Smashville's moving platform, it's there for situational instances, but its not going to take away your air game.
C4 on the moving platform is the best distraction possible for your opponent, even if you never actually succesfully hit them with it, they're constantly being distracted by it, and avoiding it, thus screwing up your opponents gameplan, and making them play to your tempo.

Smashville hands down.

Lets have you play me and see if you don't get owned on the fan stage.
Lets play with a 9hours time difference and with a ****load of laag attached to it :'))):'):'):')):')

And the point is not to have a snake mirror since we are going to have the same priorities. Think before you post next time, thx .

I agree with smashville.

Moving platform with C4 becomes predictable, but it also forces the opponents hand. Or, when the platform gets all the way out to the side, the C4 becomes a good edgeguard.

Lylat is pretty good.

And are Norfair and PS2 counterpick stages? Norfair seems like a good choice, but I don't like PS2 that much.

tie between battlefield, delfino and lylat. all amazing for snake, and the tournies i play in let you ban 2 stages - people always ban 2 of those 3 so i just counterpick the other if i lose :)

battlefield - platforms are perfect for nair, snake slides up ledge nicely... just a very good stage for him
delfino - for some reason he is just amazing here. when the stage changes, people always forget where your mines are :)
lylat - 3 really good platforms, good for dthrow techchase, snake is REALLY good at the ledge and bair becomes a godlike edgeguarder for stagespikes. stage tilt helps you. :)

First off, if your going to complain about the lag don't play online.

Second, did I ever say anything about having a mirror battle? Even if we played a snake ditto, n-air would **** anyways.

My point is that no matter which character you play as, his n-air destroys at the fan stage at Poke Stadium 2

once again you did not think before you posted this ...

My point with the laag is that there is no point in fighting you since we won't be able to have a clean fight, second, if its not to have a snake ditto, then there is no point in talking about his nair in this stage since it won't have anything to do with you ****** me with it if you are ever able to do this, and btw, there are 'main character' icons on the bottom left of every post you know, wich shows that you did not care to look at my main before trying to flame me, and then getting flamed by myself.

Finally to end this : video or it doesn't happen because i'm really curious about seeing someone actually letting snake in the air approach him to nair him when there are so many different counters to him in the air. But go ahead, proove me wrong, if you do I will recognise my error.

I dunno bout everyone else but I always feel very vulnerable whenever I'm jus floatin' in the air like that on the fans on poke stadium 2. Jus feels like Iim a sitting duck.

On the other hand, I really like smashville . Seems like everything works for me there. I'm thinkin of practicin on norfair or frigate orpheon though.

Again you are complaining about the lag. And I have had experience with n-air on fan stage. Counter or no counter I have been able to get people with his nair even without the big fans, they just make it that much better. You my friend are the one whos not thinking before you post.

This makes absolutely no sense.

How would I not be able to do it, I would be snake after all. And like stated before, counter or no counter I have been able to pull it off.

Here we come back to the not thinking before you post thing. If you knew my situation I don't have the means to record a video. I don't even have a video camera as to record a recorded match on the wii itself. I would love to post a video, but until I get a DVD writer I can't.
