Sonic has no priority over Snake's attacks. Shield dropping grenades stops Sonic's rolling attacks. Treat Sonic like Meta Knight when fighting with him. But, you can do more attacks against Sonic because of the priority of his attacks. Air dodge and evade a lot. Use your tilts after you place grenades and other explosives throughout the map. If you can't place C4 or the mine, just place grenades. Either way, Sonic will be crippled by grenades so that you can use your tilts. Oh yeah...it's fairly easy to grab Sonic out of his attacks. Just get used to Sonic's timing.

is it true lvl 1 cpu is easier to train than a lvl 9?
Eh, vs lvl 1-3, they basically act like sandbags with normal weight, that way you can practice your tech skill and chasing. Level 9's have unrealistic dodge patterns - at the best, they will show you when you're being vulnerable or when it's possible to escape your moves, and if you wanna practice against someone who techs falls and airdodges to escape juggles, then level 9's your best bet aside from a real player.

However, Level 9 Sonic does not even come close to the confusing mess that is a competent Sonic main lol.

Since you're asking for help against fighting computers, I'm not really gonna go into detail

have fun with that.
