Hi guys. I'm back. Anyway I'm going to my very first tournament today and I'm going to use Snake for I have experience with him and I'm also quite good with him. The tournament is in London where I live so there are no problems about location and lag but I was meaning to ask those of you who have won tournaments with Snake before, could you give me any tournament tips for Snake to win matches especially against people we would have never played before. I've read the stickies for Snake, yes, but does anyone have any really useful Snake tips for tournaments? I know Snake is a very tactical person and I know how to tech chase with dthrow so is there any advice you could provide. Maybe even a Snake tourney match that is useful for me? Promimently I'm looking for tournament tips with Snake.

Thanks all

Pay attention to what your opponent is doing and react correctly, make sure you know how to punish them (like grab when they shield approach or shield their aerials approaches and then counter with snakes oos stuff).
If you're new dont try to predict stuff, just play on reaction and you should do fine.

Don't get nervous (like do not start spamming the same move over and over again or doing random attacks and hope you hit them) , stay calm and play smart. Oh and do not try to play flashy or impress people...

That's mostly general stuff, but i hope it will help.

Good luck.

Camp with nades, space with f-tilt.

on a real note. Save your U tilt for K.O's. camp hard, but don't try out camping the best campers (r.o.b, falco) falco try to use your prone when he's firing lazzzrss, stage control is a must, try to use your platforms to your advantage, meaning use your c4 on moving platforms that are slightly above stage (Battlefield, Smashville, Yoshi island, etc) try to avoid fighting 3d =P use your nades to get out of CG's, snake is very technical so DT to a tech chase is always a good option. utilize your Motar slide, it's a fast move that can catch a falling oppenent.

Look at thier controller when you Dthrow CG!

No, It's not a Wi-Fi tournament. He said he doesn't have to worry about location and lag.

As long as THAT AIN'T FALCO
True dat.

My contribution. Try to keep your mind on spacing; try to keep yourself at the maximum distance from your opponent while trying to hit them. Imagine a sudden death where your goal is not to get hit. Of course you're going to get hit, but keeping it in your head that you don't want to is a good habit to have.

Good luck.

You has to doesn't afraid of anything, and blow up anything that moves.

tl;dr

Camp with 'nades space with ftilt.

I'm not joking.
Coming from you? It's hard to believe that a great Snake players also believe that improvement is using ftilt and nades. Wow I really stand no chance in this tourney with repetitive advice like that

Well, that's pretty much all snake is good for. I wonder what tier he would be in if they nerfed his uptilt and ftilt.
