Smash Journeyman
We're gonna be having another smashfest/tourney in GR June 2nd at the same place.
It's called "Perky's" and here's the address:
9345 Cherry Valley Avenue SE
Caledonia, MI 49316
Its in a strip mall connected to D&W.
Like last time we need people to bring TV's and cubes, so if anyone is able to do so post. There are 2 plasma tv's already there but they have a couple frames of lag. Depending on amount of people we should have atleast 3-5 people bring setups this time.
edit: This is going to be a tourney so rules are as follows:
12p warm up/sign up. 1p start. don't be late.
5$ entry fee. all money goes to the pot. 60%/30%/10% pot split
SINGLES RULES
Double Elimination.
All matches are best of 3 until finals. Winner's finals, loser's finals, and the finals are all best of 5.
4 stock, 8 minute time limit.
Random Stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Dreamland 64, Yoshi Story, Fountain of Dreams, Pokemon Stadium
Stages Banned: Hyrule Temple, Yoshi's Island, Fourside, Brinstar Depths, Big Blue, Termina, Flatzone, Icicle Mountain, Venom, Onett, MKI, MKII, and Yoshi's Island 64.
One stage cancellation per set.
Advanced slob picks: Loser picks stage, winner changes character, loser changes character.
Double Blind pick may be called at any time
Ties broken by stock/percentages
No items
No in-game coaching is allowed. Coaching is only allowed between matches, and the player and coach may only discuss for a maximum of 1 minute.
A player cannot counterpick the stage he/she last won on.
WOBBLING IS BANNED.
If enough people express interest in doubles/low tier/anything else, we'll hold that too.
Plasma tv's will be left for friendlies due to lag. number of additional friendlies tv's will depend on amount of tv's brought. first 3/4 tv's brought will be for the tourney.
edit 2: I take it we will have enough interest for a doubles tourney
Doubles Rules:
$10 per team entry fee.
Double elimination
Same rules as singles+
Team attack will be on.
Life stealing allowed.
Banned: Normal banned stages + Mute City and FoD
And betting will be highly encouraged/mandatory for all crew battles
