I'ma beat a dead horse and just put my opinion on Roster out there.

The Founding 12 shouldn't ever be removed from a Smash game. Regardless of how you 'feel' about a character they were the OG's. They're the 'Avengers/JLA' of Smash. Removing a core 'founding member' is a strange move. Jiggs is always the first people want to cut and I find it silly.

ESPECIALLY if you're going a MOBA route. Why would you remove her when people's usual reasons for removing her(I.E. Kirby but with Rest, doesn't need to be here) wouldn't be applicable?

Although we are not adding more veterans right now (still voting for first newcomer), I find it ironic that Jigglypuff gets criticized for being mostly an SSB fighter with little importance to Nintendo/gaming (I understand lower priority as Charizard, Mewtwo, Lucario, and Greninja are more popular, and Pokemon Trainer is the player character), yet Ness, Falcon (dead/completed series with Mother not being super popular when it had games), and arguably Marth (I think most people are more aware of Awakening/3H outside of SSB) get a free pass.
I think that it will be added some point when we add more veterans even if it is one of the last ones.

Job 5

Add some unique Mechanics to the game

I've done a terrible job of explaining the gameplay. that's my fault

This is standard moba gameplay

So it is HP based and Team based Each team has 6 players, and as of now each stage has 3 lanes each lane has 4 towers, 2 Towers for each team, Each team also has a Core. The goal is to destroy the opposing teams core. The core and towers deal intense damage to the enemy team, To assist you each team has minions that are summoned on each lane, these minions help attack enemy heroes and help tank damage from the towers. Defeating enemy minions nets your team some Coins, Coins allow you to purchase items, these items help power up yourself and your team in various ways. There is also a "Jungle" area between each lane, this area has NPC minions that appear that attack anyone, defeating these minions also nets you coins.

This job is about adding something to the game that makes it more unique or streamlined

Create a moveset for Mario

Since we are doing a moba we need some new movesets, This is also your chance to change things about characters that you want to change

Here is the general moveset template

This template has some explanation
Basic attack, the automatic attack that the character does

Range attack: some characters could have a range attack that transitisons into a basic attack, Basic attacks can be ranged only if you want too

Trait: This is an ability is a passive ability that adds a unique mechanic to the character, this trait can also be used as an extra special if the mechanic calls for it

Specials: same as smash just keep in mind that we are from a top down perspective and on a mobile device

Unique Items: you can get coins during a match as you defeat more and more minions you can use these coins to buy items, characters have unique items that can effect their specials and their trait if need be.

Here is my moveset
Can unique items be permanent upgrades, one-use items, or both?

Few more questions (sorry lol), but you said that some of Mario's specials give you money. Does money serve an important role?
Also, can you explain the gameplay loop of this MOBA? I'm having a hard time picturing my moveset when I don't know what the gameplay is completely like. Is it knockback-based like Smash or is it HP-based? What is the objective of each round? Are you placed on a team? Can characters jump, and to what extent?

Agreed, if it isn't too much to ask could we hold off the Mario moveset and do a job based on describing how this Moba would play?

I've done a terrible job of explaining the gameplay. that's my fault

That is probably smart

Job 5: Mobility/Knockback

Smash is all about mobility, so I feel like mobility mechanics are a no-brainer.

Maps should have alt routes in the form of short walls/gaps. Characters with mobility options can utilize them (e.g. Kirby Floating, Fox's illusion. Basically anything that gives you vertical/horizontal height.)

Knockback also plays an important role in Smash. While the characters in a MOBA are HP-based and don't take severe knockback, I feel like we could incorporate it in another way.

When enemies, NPC's, and other players are defeated (as in reach 0 HP), they get launched in the direction you last hit them in. This works almost exactly like Smash Run, where defeated enemies would fly in a straight line and bounce off walls before disappearing. The defeated enemy/NPC/player also can hit other enemy/NPC/players during flight to damage them as well!

Job 5

Smash Mechanics

This would add 3 mechanics from smash

Knockback - The less health or percentage you have the more knockback you take
Smash Attacks - You can hold the attack button to charge up a smash attack that deals a lot of damage around you
Aerial Attacks + Jumping - You can press jump to jump over certain projectile attacks and low height walls, you can also press the attack button to do a special aerial attack.

(Submissions end in about 2 hours)

This was longer than 2 hours sorry about that,

These are the 2 submissions for new mechanics
Mobility + Knockback Gorgonzales Gorgonzales
Smash Mechanics cashregister9 cashregister9

Due to a lack of submissions there will not be a vote, instead these submissions will be combined as they do not conflict. This will go through unless there are any objections

Job 6
Create a New Multiplayer Game mode.

The only rules are that it has to work for Mobile phones and the top-down perspective and it can't be a story mode. Anything else is fair game, you do not have to use the moba map or rules it can be much wackier than that.

Job 6: Stock Battle

Basically stock battle in Smash, re-contextualized to fit a MOBA (you still use stamina from the main mode, but each character has a set amount of stocks). It'd be a neat little side mode if you're craving Smash action but can't play Smash.
This mode has a handful of dedicated smaller stages, rather than taking place on the main MOBA ones.
(Kinda similar to StreetSmash now that I think about it...)

Job 6
Limited Respawn Mode
It would be like DOTA’s all random death match where the team has a collective number respawns, but players cannot respawn once respawns run out. Each player chooses two or three characters to switch between during respawns.

Job 6 Pikmin Pathfinder

Before the game starts your team color is randomly decided from a pool of 5 colors (red blue yellow white and purple) and the color you gain will determine what main pikmin color your getting alongside rock and winged, the 5 types dont have any differences except cosmetic so it's just some nice vareity

Pikmin Pathfinder focuses on collecting Pellets Poseys and using them as fuel to power a generator and activate the flag to win the match, they cant be picked up by players so the pikmin have to collect them

Each team has two main teams of pikmin, the selected color pikmin a squad of winged pikmin, the normal pikmin go in a set pathway but will automatically follow any teamate, the path they go though tends to be filled with enemies and other hazards so players needs to help escort these pikmin to the goal, the pikmin can be killed by the opposing team and enemies or turn into evil puffstools pikmin from inhaling toxic gas, their are also gates that only players can activate for shortcuts so team management and knowledge of the map is key

Alongside that their is a passive group of pink winged pikmin, by colliding with these pikmin they will follow you and help collect pellet poseys and can fly over most hazards and are immune to the puffstool gas, they are neutral and follow the superior group so the more hp a player has the more likely they will follow that team so it's best you reserve your hp for these moments

The team who activate the machine to activate the flag first wins

This goal is to make a nintendo themed moba mode focused on nintendo characters

Old Stage
Kongo Jungle

It's a pretty standard jungle map, but the barrel cannons, allow for fast travel from place to place, some are colored for your team and others are neutral and can be used by anyone, their is a golden central cannon that can blast a player to one of the four corners of the map

New Stage
Wacky Workbench (Sonic)
Orginatubg from sonic cd, in the home game wacky workbench was a layered stage and the trampoline floors allowed you to travel from layer to layer, in this map the stage has 3 layers that can traveled by jumping on the checkered trampolines or going though the piston chutes, the top layer has electrical vents in a grid like pattern, the bronze nofes are indestructible and the silver nodes can be temporarily broken. The mid layer has ice vents to freeze you and you need to rapidly tap the screen to escape, the bottom layer has the most checkerboard floors and thin platforms making it the most hazardous floor of the map

Top Bottom
