A while ago, Capcom made a fighting game called Tatsunoko vs Capcom. It was received extremely well and left many wondering if they were gonna do a sequel with another anime/manga company.
In this creation thread, we’ll be imagining what would happening if they did do something like that with the manga publishing company Shonen Jump. A game people have been dreaming of for a while now! We’ll plan out the characters, stages and maybe even special moves and super combos.

The gameplay is essentially the same as the Marvel vs Capcom, with the same physics and assist system. In addition the Baroque mechanic from Tatsunoko vs Capcom is present.
Gameplay modes:
Arcade

Journey

Arcade Mode Boss:
Seto Kaiba (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
You heard that right. The fight takes place at the Kibacorp building, where it is revealed that the battles the player had been through in Arcade Mode where actualy part of a tournament set up by Kaiba himself in order to test the warriors of the two worlds.
And now the players have to face off against Kaiba himself. But he won't fight directly. For the first phase. Kaiba will unleash his favourite monster.
Blue Eyes White Dragon (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
The player will have to contend with the powerful beast. But even after the monster is defeated, its not over, as Kaiba unleashes his trump card:
Nergigante (Monster Hunter)
That's right. Somehow in the dimensional chaos, Kaiba has managed to gain control of the powerful elder dragon. This beast is extremely strong, putting up an intense fight
The Journey:
Similar to an arcade mode, but rather than being themed around a character, players set off on journey across a location on a little mini map. You do various themed fights. There are hidden roots with puzzles to do, I guess kind of like World of Light but without spirts. Rewards can be unlocked such as art, music and costumes
Randomizer
It’s a mode playable in multiplayer, arcade or non-ranked online. Pretty much, the game selects a random player for you and then whenever you switch out a character you get switched out with a completely random other character. Whenever you call an assist it is also a random character. The game will also automatically switch you out with a random character every 40 seconds if you haven’t already.
I feel like it would be a pretty fun casual mechanic to add to the already really chaotic gameplay of the vs series. It would also give an opportunity to try out a lot of new characters and would just be a pretty fun mechanic. It’s a pretty small mechanic so we would likely have another job later if this was added.
