Is he a boss or an enemy? Sorry didn't play too much sonic, hopefully we can see Dr. Eggman as a boss though.

He replaced Eggman in the cockpit as a boss in S3&K for whenever you played as Knuckles.
He was was the unlockable version of Eggman in Sonic R.
Outside of that, he was just a normal enemy that just resembles Eggman.

I just had a thought: what if there's Sonic 3 & Knuckles music in Smash?
That (along with Megaman 2's Wily Stage 1 Theme, confirmed!) would make my year.

• Most enemies thus far are part of the same franchise as a playable character
• Kremlings are the biggest piece of evidence toward King K. Rool, with some thinking he's confirmed off of this evidence
• Eggrobo is a Dr. Eggman robot

I'm kind of surprised that they chose to use the Eggrobos as the enemy representing the Sonic series in Smash Run, since Motobug makes a lot more sense and is essentially the series' staple enemy. Who knows, maybe there will be more than one Sonic enemy present?
