I honestly think this is the best POTD all week. Other than that, I honestly only care about stage / character reveals at the moment. Still hoping for wolf.

You have a very valid point. Perhaps I am trying to rationalize my distaste for Trophy PotD's without seeming like a whiney little boy. :-)

BUT it does seem a bit redundant to SHOW you something in a PotD that is only in Super Smash Bros so you can look at it... catch my drift?

you can also optain trophys in smash run and other game modes and i hope theres a trophy specific minigame like in brawl and melee

TBF Mashpotato Samurai could be saying that he has lots of trophies planned, but it may not be able to have them all on the 3DS due to limitations. I agree with you that there probably will be more trophies on the 3DS than in Brawl, but it IS somewhat noteworthy.

This makes more sense since you'll be able to see more about each series easier. I always hated that you would never know what trophies you don't have, especially in brawl where you could actually decide whether or not to shoot a trophy in Trophy Launcher. If you wanted to be efficient with coins you'd have to memorize the ones you've gotten, and if you stopped playing a while and forgot them all tough luck.

I hated the lottery in Melee. The coin launcher in Brawl was fun, but needed just a tiny bit more stuff to be really fun like pinball/tetris or something, and requiring to use coins sucked imo (but at least it was really the only way to spend coins since every other mode you'll gain coins faster than you lose them unless you are bad).

I honestly completely would if I could. I got heavily into Quake Live/CPMA a few years ago and most good players play with pretty much no textures (picmip) and hitbox-matching playermodels. I'd play every game I competed in that way if I got the chance lol.

Disgusting, Smash would be nothing without the Nintendo magic, the music, the visuals, the character's personality...stripping a game of its very soul just so you can 'git gud' is despicable.

I'm an awful person for wanting gameplay from a game I guess.
I really don't care about Nintendo and don't understand all the brown-nosing. A good game is a good game and good is subjective. How other people have fun or what they like can differ from your own tastes without them being an awful person.

Everyone has fun differently, video games have different meanings from person to person, and I just happen to like to push my limits regardless of whether a game is nostalgic to me or not. Smash itself just happens to be a series that had 1 game that allowed this, and a mod inspired from it's gameplay. Those are what I play Smash for. And this is coming from an ex-Brawl player.

The only characters in any Smash game I even mildly care about are Wario, Ness, and Captain Falcon. My brother tried to get me into Nintendo games as a kid but it was never my thing. I always preferred Neo-Geo era arcade games and Arena FPSes.

That's just how it is, sorry for having differing tastes and opinions than your own.

The Wily trophy looks great, and a trophy shop is good as long as we don't have to pay real money. So is it possible we will be getting a trophy if Mewtwo is not in the game as a playable character

might not be a playable character this time since we already have , , and so the roster may have the max number of Pokemon it is going to have. It might not either though we will have to wait and see since the roster is not final.
