Metal Gear Rising was original Metal Gear Solid: Rising and it was supposed to be set between 2 and 4 until it got farmed out to Platinum to make an unrelated game set after the series for some reason and it is part of why that game breaks my heart every day.

Yeah but the song has been redone time and time again and that line sounds very problematic today and very few redone versions have decided to omit the line.

Cause 90% of new christmas music is just a cover of one of maybe 5 songs over and over again

Speaking of, someone put constant sleighbells behind Lifelight to immediately turn it into holiday music

tbf the line isn't meant to come off as the woman is being roofied, the actual meaning is that she's making an excuse to not have to go home. But you know, unfortunate implications and all that, and it could probably be worded better to get the real meaning across in a clearer way.
