Looks like Liam can't take the pressure, which is petty, in my point of view, because I think if he was strong, he wouldn't back down and make his twitter private to avoid the backlash, like a coward. A good willed person does not run away from something just because they don't like it. To me, they must face what they are dealing with. Now, I know it is his choice, and he probably doesn't have to deal with this, but I still think running away from this is not very mature.

I hear ya. I'm actually going to have to put off buying the game for awhile if I don't find a way to get to work. I'm on a system where I work once a week, and for obvious reasons, that doesn't cut it.

Everyone is saying incenroar so providing some type of detail as to why he’s in can’t be hard to get away with.

At least say if they have seen footage or an image that isn’t going to give away anything.

And at this point since no one was ballsy enough to leak Incenroar stuff to 4chan which I’m confident would happen if there was proof because someone would want to shut the people who are harassing insiders.

Same way rabbids leaked. If there was hard proof of Incenroar I think 4chan would have leaked it already.

No idea, they didn’t specify who the supposed real characters on the leaked mural are. Since they pretty much outright ruled out Banjo, Geno, and Isaac, I narrowed it down to Ken, Shadow, and Chorus Kids being the most likely real characters with Mach Rider being the least likely.

I'm very reminded of the 'cyberbullying isn't real, just close your eyes lmao' meme.

I don't think you quite get just how brutal people can be, and seeing that sort of thing on a basically hourly basis is debilitating.

I've found myself pretty distasteful of Liam recently, but I don't wish the scowls of an entire online community, especially one as big as Smash, on anyone.

I just find it funny that Smash is really bad at not leaking stuff through their commercials and advertisements.

For Brawl, we got Lucario, Ness and Jigglypuff leaked in a Japanese commercial.

For Smash 4, we got Ganondorf leaked in a Japanese commercial.

And for Ultimate, we get a potential Golden Sun item leaked in a commercial.

• A Mach Rider stage
• A Banjo-Kazooie stage
• A Super Mario RPG stage

It's possible they don't have access to direct proof. They might have seen an image or video but don't have access to it now.
I take everything the "insiders" say with a grain of salt because even the most trustworthy ones get stuff wrong.
But they don't really owe us anything.

Liam has been right and wrong about a lot of stuff, but attacking him for sharing his opinion on a leak isn't justified at all.

There's nothing rational about what Liam said (so far in listening to the podcast). @TotsBS said he said "Nintendo is stubborn, conservative Japanese men and they'd bend to the white man and "muh pride". That's borderline racist (haven't gotten to that part of the podcast, so apologies if not accurate).

That being said, people are assholes and shouldn't be harassing anybody for any reason.

They all knew about Smash's reveal in March, seemingly Ultimate title, few to no cut and such, Ridley, Simon and such

Vergeben was the only one to talk about it and no one took him seriously until the game was revealed and the only true 4chan leak about Ultimate was hours before E3 begins.

I didn't say he was weak. Just running away. And I never said he is weak, I am strong. I was just stating my point of view. You're forgetting that the reason they know its Incineroar could get someone in trouble.

Like say... what if they learned it through a play tester. If they admit that, Ninten Ninjas now have evidence to track down the leaker.

It's just odd that there hasn't been a whole lot of western owned content in Smash given what Smash has/ is becoming. Like it's literally Shovel Knight and Rayman trophies. Yeah language is barrier, business practices probably vary too. But idk... It's interesting that there isn't more western content.. And the content that does exist has extenuating circumstances surrounding it.

I just don't think that's why there's no Western character.

If a Western character is really popular and Sakurai chooses them, I'm sure he'd be willing to get a translator to help him. There's also Nintendo hiring Western devs to make some of their games and them even publishing Western games in Japan. Regarding Smash, they still put thought and care into making Western content such as the Shovel Knight assist.

The lack of Western content is probably due to circumstances; a whole lot of popular characters are from Japan, and Microsoft and other western companies were previously hard to work with, but now it might be easier and Sakurai may be willing to work with them on more than just smaller content depending on who he saw as popular or necessary additions.

The problem is a lot of the insiders have been harsh in their dismissal of the leak and it's supporters. Someone's a **** to them, they respond in kind, and then everyone who supports the leak takes it as a personal insult.
