I'll only be playing in handheld. Here's a question for everybody. Will you ever really play smash in handheld mode?
For me, I'm so stuck to the GameCube controller that it will be my primary means to play, especially online or competitively. I have a lot of free time at my job (Awesome, right?) So I will probably use handheld mode there to do some offline stuff that doesn't require me to be at my best.
Nothing wrong with LitwickSometimes I feel like judging people for their Pokemon newcomer choices, but then I remember my favorite Pokemon are Porygon and ****ing Litwick and I realize I have no room to talk.
I totally forgot that would be an option. Here's a question for everybody. Will you ever really play smash in handheld mode?
****ing yikes...Or the ones using the Earthquake against Incineroar.
There's desperation, and then there's sheer "what the **** is wrong with you".
I never got into Smash 4's competitive scene the way I did with Melee and Brawl. It came out after I'd moved across the country, lost all my Smash friends, and the closest real friendlies were an hour drive. So after that initial "yay! new Smash!" burst, I just kinda... stopped. No motivation to dig into the game. Then SFV came out and I just played that instead. It's weird, I forgot that Classic was the weird branching thing until I booted it up again the other day. I only ever had the 3DS version and I realized I cleared classic with a fairly decent amount of the roster.
I liked Smash 4 a lot but it really just...came and went. Weird.
It's tough. I don't have a TV in my bedroom, just the shared living room. I could theoretically bring my personal Switch to the dock in the living room but me and my roommates all intend on getting our own copies of Ultimate and to be honest I just play videogames in bed mostly nowadays because I'm tired after work. But I'm gonna miss the Wavebird...Here's a question for everybody. Will you ever really play smash in handheld mode?

i am a melee player and therefore a big gamecube controller person and have pretty much only used the gamepad whenever i've played smash 4 in the past year. the pro of being able to play in bed massively outweighs the cons for me. moving to the switch is gonna be hard though, handheld switch is a lot less comfortable than the gamepad, and one of the really awesome things about the gamepad is the ability to do really fast up airs with the right stick which isn't possible with the joy-cons because of the stick placementHere's a question for everybody. Honestly Im one of the people who just don't get the extreme love the gamecube controller gets. To me it has always been an awful controller with a goofy layout. Here's a question for everybody. Will you ever really play smash in handheld mode?

I'm just surprised someone wanted Gothitelle before that one guy said it was gonna be Gardevoir's echo.
Every Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Sometimes I feel like judging people for their Pokemon newcomer choices, but then I remember my favorite Pokemon are Porygon and ****ing Litwick and I realize I have no room to talk.
Trubbish is cute but his evolved forms? Not much.Every Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ok I've never come across a lover of the Trubbish line but I'm sure that one weirdo is out there
Nice to know I'm not the only one.Honestly Im one of the people who just don't get the extreme love the gamecube controller gets. To me it has always been an awful controller with a goofy layout.
Aside from that though I predominantly play my Switch in handheld mode so Smash is likely the same
Hiiiiiiiiiiiii. I love all the inanimate object pokemon.Every Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My Switch generally sits nice and comfortable in its dock, the only scenario I can see where I'd do it is if I'm absolutely desperate to play it/try something out and the TV is occupied. I didn't touch Smash 3DS once the Wii U version came out either, so I don't expect I'll be using handheld mode much, if at all. Here's a question for everybody. Will you ever really play smash in handheld mode?

Trubbish isn’t my favorite, but I find it kind of cute. It’s probably my favorite out of the 6 or so Pokemon that are polution personified.Every Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ok I've never come across a lover of the Trubbish line but I'm sure that one weirdo is out there
Oh sweet mercy why. That looks terrible...There was a problem fetching the tweet
Take my soul and end me now. Of all the things I didn't want to see come back, why did this have to? I'll never get this move sometimes, and I love it otherwise.
I mean, there are a bunch of people who like Trubbish.Every Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I honestly don't think that's actually accurate.Im kind of wondering. I hadn't heard until this thread that Bayo had anything other than a placeholder file in the data for her. Some people here said she had some completed files in the data at that time?
Could someone provide a link to those for me?
trubbish is great!Every Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ok I've never come across a lover of the Trubbish line but I'm sure that one weirdo is out there
Well yeah, I think Trubbish cute, but I'm not sure I've ever come across someone who's favourite Pokemon is Garbodor.I mean, there are a bunch of people who like Trubbish.
I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I think it's alright.
I feel like the amount of hate it gets is waaaaaaaaaay overstated.
Like, there's not nearly as much as people say there is.
Litwick and Porygon are cuties and are very cool in themselves. Typically first stage and final evolutions are loved. If you have a middle evolution who is you fav/is one of your favs, that's rare (unless it's Dragonair/Porygon2).Sometimes I feel like judging people for their Pokemon newcomer choices, but then I remember my favorite Pokemon are Porygon and ****ing Litwick and I realize I have no room to talk.
Trubbish line is actually held in quite high regard, at least in the Smogon community (for design and aesthetics ofc, competitive is likely a different story)Every Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ok I've never come across a lover of the Trubbish line but I'm sure that one weirdo is out there
I like that line more than the Muk line.ok I've never come across a lover of the Trubbish line but I'm sure that one weirdo is out there
I love lamp :DEvery Pokemon is someone's favourite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What, are you two moths or something? :V
Same!
I only know they found 's data as a placeholder and everyone gone "okay, she was decided, negotiated, planned, designed and halfway developed, there's no other way."I honestly don't think that's actually accurate.
There was apparently stuff ported from ZSS used as placeholder, but this is the first I've heard that she had anything "completed".
Which is part of why Im confused. I only heard of the placeholder but several people were talking about how they wouldn't have that much work done on her that fast which made it sound like there were something else actually done with her at the time.I honestly don't think that's actually accurate.

That seems to be the way it is treated doesn't it? lol.I only know they found 's data as a placeholder and everyone gone "okay, she was decided, negotiated, planned, designed and halfway developed, there's no other way."
Nah. I don't really remove my Switch from its dock. The 3DS is still my portable console. Here's a question for everybody. Will you ever really play smash in handheld mode?

Yeah, this was one of the most random things to find in Smash 4, and it's possible. For some reason, if you use Spin Attack against someone shield near the ledge, you get pushed back, and because he's in the air, he enters his aerial animation, but is still falling, and therefore doesn't rise. He doesn't even grab the ledge when this happens, so he just dies. Sad.Oh sweet mercy why. That looks terrible...
Luckily, this is only the E3 demo build. There's always hope for fixes in the final release.
Not my favourite but I like it and its silly pseudo ears and nozzle handsWell yeah, I think Trubbish cute, but I'm not sure I've ever come across someone who's favourite Pokemon is Garbodor.
