In Melee, everyone knows about the trophies you collected through playing, they’d appear in single player as items that you’d pick up and thusly unlock the trophy, also the bonus “Grab the Trophy” bonus stage, and even the Trophy event matches where you’d actually fight on the trophy that you’d unlock when you win.
They extended the urge to reply to collect all 250 of them, and a lot of people were wondering wether they’d make a return in Brawl. While the fact that the characters were trophies (not to mention the Assist Trophies Item) people assumed they’d be making a return. However after todays update, it’s a good sign that they aren’t.

The new collectable for Brawl is Stickers. As you play, you’ll pick them up. Wether they drop in multiplayer, I would doubt it, but we don’t know either way 100%

As you collect them they get stored away in your Album. You can then pluck them from your album and stick them on, for lack of a better word, paper.

You can then save them for future use. Sakurai suggests using the stickers to make a comic book. Speech Bubble stickers? Or perhaps these can then be accessed on the Photo Channel and sent to other Mii’s?

Stickers come from a number of previous games, with Dice from Mario Party, A picture of Wario from Mario Soccer on GameCube and others.
