- Kirby went from being tied for 5th with Mario, to passing Mario into being tied for 4th with Donkey Kong.
- Jigglypuff went from being tied for 8th with Yoshi, to passing Luigi and Yoshi into being 7th.

This is used as a standard comparison for each character in every game they are represented in. The scoring is done like in Golf, the lower your character score overall, the better.

We came up with this to show which character stood the test of time best. As you can see, Fox and Pikachu are steadfast in their huge lead over 3rd (by 10 points). In the Melee to Brawl test, Falco only has 3 points, making him easily best.

This has nothing to do with *total* characters in each game, this is only characters that were in the previous installment(s) of the Smash series. That is why the original 12 are always out of 12, and not given a score out of the total amount in that certain installment. Also, the original 12 were also represented in the Melee to Brawl comparison because they went ahead in the game like every other new character in Melee.

This website is a great, fun place with a multitude of uses.

This thread states obvious information that has very little use.

I had never seen anything like this before and wanted to do this because of that. I didn't do all the calculations mind you, I just looked over what Z'zgashi wrote and correct anything that might have been a mistake. I wont take credit for him doing the tough stuff.

I don't think this is useless, it saves people the time of doing this themselves and is kind of interesting to see (I think anyway).

I had the up to date Melee and Brawl tier lists, just the 64 one just got updated about a month and a half ago, so I needed to alter it for that. There were only a few minor changes to the 64/Melee/Brawl section due to it, namely:

- Kirby moving up from being tied with Mario for 5th, to being tied with DK for 4th.
- Luigi and Jigglypuff switching places.
- Ness moving down from being tied with Samus for 10th to being 11th.
