Gah! I'd love to see your art but the links aren't working for me right now. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes, my host happens to be offline right now, as a matter of fact they've been pretty laggy for the past week or so... I'm hoping it clears up soon.

I'm finally back after a long hiatus. After completing Sheik I found myself ridiculously burnt out, and as I was preparing to move, I took time off to keep things better organized. I'm through with the move, and the sinuses that were ****** me all summer have finally gone, and I'm ready to get back into some Smashing!

Three updates for today: first and foremost that my previous host has gone offline for good. I've relocated and am in the process of putting everything back online - as a matter of fact, my Smash Bros. work is the only thing currently online. But that's enough to tide you all over, I trust.

Now for the two art related updates. I predicted that today would finally be FALCON FRIDAY, but Sakurai still insists on teasing us. Well, I made today FALCON FRIDAY whether he likes it or not, by finally drawing Captain Falcon and bringing him back to us. He's a delightful mix of manliness, the Justice League, and Captain Hero.

The least of the updates, I revisited Peach and re-drew her face and some of her hair. Comparing her to Sheik's finely-detailed face was really starting to bug me.

So... here are the links! Everyone enjoy, and hope that I don't fall into yet another hiatus.

January 29th Update:

I've finally finished the triple update that I've been working on for over a month. There's a lot to see, including not only a new fighter, but my first Assist Trophy and Subspace boss character renders. The latter even includes my first 3D work in four years. I finished just in time, too, as I'm about to get absorbed in Brawl as soon as tonight. :) Enjoy!

Just popping in with a few quick updates I threw together tonight:

- On the main page (http://kxn.paperwaspnest.com/smash/index.html) I've started including moveset listings as done on the Dojo. Unfortunately a few are still incomplete; I'll have them done by the next update.
- I re-arranged the roster page (http://kxn.paperwaspnest.com/smash/roster.html) to reflect the official Brawl roster.
- I added two characters: official brawler Kirby and retired veteran Pichu. Click on their names to check them out.
- With the previously mentioned addition of moveset lists, I'm altering my goal with this project to include fleshing out chosen characters into actual, realistic character choices. I'm going to take further steps in the near future, if all goes well. Look forward to that!

Enjoy for now, I might be back as soon as tomorrow with more!

God ****, that epic Smash Ball G&W pic you did is freakin' secksy, I may have to steal it and use it as my avatar. :chuckle:

Hmm, I wonder, can you make an epic G&W Octopus/Giga Bowser/Jigglypuff/Ganon/Warioman? Those would be thunderous sights to behold!

Shameless bump is shameless.

Two years after I first launched this project, I've decided to revive it. My plans are bigger this time, and I'm looking forward to sharing it again with the Smash community. I also plan on being more thorough this time, ditching the vague Sakurai-speek for a more direct-from-the-would-be-developer approach.

I'm planning weekly updates, but the chances of me updating this thread every week are pretty slim. So if you enjoy my work, bookmark me and stay tuned! I'll probably only report here over major updates.

I re-launched the project with veteran Falco and newcomer: Banjo-Kazooie.

The URL is the same, but for those that don't have it, it's
http://kxn.paperwaspnest.com/smash/

Enjoy, and I once again look forward to both positive and negative feedback!

I've been getting a tons of hits already (although I've a feeling most of them are from those that might've bookmarked me from the first time around), so I thought I'd explain a little about my way of doing things this time and what to expect down the road.

The first round of the project was actually between myself and a friend. Due to college and work he didn't have much time to work on it, and he dropped out of the project rather quickly, but I kept rolling. This time it's being organized with - so far - up to four of us, but I'm only chronicling my own work on my site.

We're trading off picking who we do on a weekly basis. This is going to make things feel a little more random since everyone is choosing who they'd like as a newcomer. As with both Kumatora and Knuckles, I felt they were better in an assist trophy role and rendered them as such, which is why I haven't done more than one newcomer yet. However, this will change as next week will be a newcomer alongside a popular veteran.

While every week has a selection through a rather roulette system, I'm also going to be doing (some remakes of ones from last round that I'd like to redo, some re-releases of who doesn't need redone, and maybe a few others) some of my own choices, which will keep every week having at least two characters per, hopefully for some time. I'm hoping this format will also keep me going on a weekly basis instead of falling into month-long hiatuses like I did last time.

As I mentioned, the first week launched with newcomer Banjo-Kazooie, and the last two weeks have seen Kumatora and Knuckles launched as assist trophies, alongside a handfull of veterans. I'll be shortly launching a flashed roster page to catalog everything that's been completed while keeping that main page nice and clutter-free.

I hope everyone's enjoying what's come so far and looks forward to more on a weekly basis (a deadline I really hope I can stick to)!
