I've been getting a tons of hits already (although I've a feeling most of them are from those that might've bookmarked me from the first time around), so I thought I'd explain a little about my way of doing things this time and what to expect down the road.
The first round of the project was actually between myself and a friend. Due to college and work he didn't have much time to work on it, and he dropped out of the project rather quickly, but I kept rolling. This time it's being organized with - so far - up to four of us, but I'm only chronicling my own work on my site.
We're trading off picking who we do on a weekly basis. This is going to make things feel a little more random since everyone is choosing who they'd like as a newcomer. As with both
Kumatora and
Knuckles, I felt they were better in an assist trophy role and rendered them as such, which is why I haven't done more than one newcomer yet. However, this will change as next week will be a newcomer alongside a popular veteran.
While every week has a selection through a rather roulette system, I'm also going to be doing (some remakes of ones from last round that I'd like to redo, some re-releases of who doesn't need redone, and maybe a few others) some of my own choices, which will keep every week having at least two characters per, hopefully for some time. I'm hoping this format will also keep me going on a weekly basis instead of falling into month-long hiatuses like I did last time.
As I mentioned, the first week launched with newcomer Banjo-Kazooie, and the last two weeks have seen Kumatora and Knuckles launched as assist trophies, alongside a handfull of veterans. I'll be shortly launching a flashed roster page to catalog everything that's been completed while keeping that main page nice and clutter-free.
I hope everyone's enjoying what's come so far and looks forward to more on a weekly basis (a deadline I really hope I can stick to)!
