I took off work and traveled an hour and a half to play one set, get some pins, stickers, a Mario Kart 8 flag and promise of the pre-order coin upon game pick-up (They claim that the coins were poor quality so they are redoing them). Was it worth it? Yeah, I made a bunch of new friends and hung out with them afterwards. It's a great social experience if you try to make it one

Our lady was way more serious about not taking screenshots or videos. She put her arm in front of the screen anytime someone got a phone out to record, followed by a loud "NO SCREENSHOTS" holler.

Here's footage I recorded which I also posted in the Best Buy topic. This is from Gaithersburg MD. There was also someone else there recording matches. I dunno if he spends much time on this site though. Hopefully he uploads his stuff cause he recorded a lot of 3DS stuff and one of the matches I was in. He also had an actual camera as opposed to a phone camera.

Also want to say, for people going on Saturday or to the nintendo world store and are going to record, see if you can get direct quality audio from the 3DS version though the headphone port. The employees at the event didn't seem to be against the use of headphones when I asked about it.

Sorry I didn't go through with my promise however. The setup is not what I expected being only 2 minute timed matches I pretty much had 1 minute to learn my character and 1 minute to fight. I stood in line for 4 hours to play 5 minutes of Smash LOL. But it was still definitely worth it.

I got to play the 3DS version too but unfortunately my phone died at that point. I swear I got a 3 hit combo with Samus. Utilt pop up into the platform on BF, Spike to pop up again, then a forward Smash!

The 3DS actually plays really well though the circle pad is just a tad bit tricky to use. Short hopping may be a pain as well.

Here's the footage I got from the Smash Fest. 2 of them have me playing and Samus and Pit, another 2 have my friend playing as Megaman, and the other 2 are just some matches I recorded before my phone ran out of space. I'm definitely going back on Saturday with an empty phone to record and play as much as possible. I'll definitely play Pit again, don't know if I'll try anyone else. I also have a Smash Run video with Greninja I'll have up later today.

At the event I attended, recording and taking pictures was absolutely not allowed.
I did manage to get some footage, its not much but it shows off...

Alternate outfits for the Wii Fit Trainers and Little Mac.

Pokemon Chespin and Eevee make an appearance.

At 0:13-0:15 the wii fit trainer appears to do a combo that ends with the opponent stuck in the ground like DK's side special. What's up with that? I'm pretty sure there wasn't a pitfall there.

Nintendog obscured some of the fight and I was asked to stop recording when he popped up so... yeah. I started recording again but the match was almost over.

My friend was able to capture about 3 seconds of footage of a stage transformation for the Mario Bros U stage that I hadn't seen before, it was very pink, but you can't really make anything out besides that.

The 1 v 1's look really nice! Also seems like items are on low. I missed the Tree house footage so it is nice to see it on YouTube. Especially since they went to some nice stages as well. I hope more of them surface sometime. I can't wait for this game to come out!
