I really don't want to overhype myself... I think there will only be 1 newcomer/veteran confirmation tomorrow. But for sure, we'll get a ton of new gameplay/modes/mechanics details and a bunch of new footage with stages/items/assists, etc.

What newcomers? Ridley and Da Tuna seem very likely to me. Perhaps Mewtwo as well.

What vets?

Wario, Yoshi, Falcon, Ike, Ice Climbers? Why not?

Release date?...... uhm.... August? No, lets go with November, more dev time means better game, I can wait longer.

I'll TRY to make some progress on a Web Authouring project. Failing that, I'll mess around on here or play a game (might play Smash in anticipation).

My family will be doing a small cake for me and a few relatives might come over.

At that point it should at least be 8 o'clock, so I'd probably have a shower and maybe watch more of the F-Zero anime, and maybe watch some South Park too.

In the half hour before the Direct, I'll use my brother's computer to open the stream page, so I can watch it on a big HDTV.

And yeah. I should be fine tomorrow. Bonus points if tomorrow's PotD is easy to get a discussion out of.

As for newcomer and veteran, Professor Layton is my most desired newcomer, while Snake is my most desired veteran.

I love Layton, and I especially love his games(Unwound Future is my favorite). I'm not sure on his likelihood though. I'd be ecstatic if he were to make it in.

As far as newcomers, I don't really care, pretty much all of the characters I want are in now (aside from veterans) so I guess I just hope it's someone new that I didn't know about, but is awesome, and I hope both Ganon and Cap Falcon get back in (pretty sure they will)

There's always E3. Regardless, I don't see a scenario in which Snake gets cut be we keep every other Brawl character. That makes no sense to me, especially since seemingly all Brawl characters are favorites to return, with the Melee/Brawl 22 missing only 9 now and Sonic being confirmed so early.

The only feeling greater than getting what I want is shenanigans taking place, and watching all the tears and meltdowns that ensue.

I already got a video ready for such an event if Ridley, K. Rool, Wolf, R.O.B. (yes, I want ROB back), Roy, Mewtwo, etc. are confirmed! (that is kinda nsfw due to language)

It's on in Japan on the 9th due to time zone differences, which is probably where your confusion is coming from.

Everywhere else is the 8th, if I'm not mistaken. I know it's 11PM GMT, and 3PM PST...

That is a fan made recreation using MIDIs, so the real thing sounds richer, but I think the ending is fine in the context of the trailer itself, as you get to her those clanging and electricity noises as the logo comes up, and the end of the song ominously echoes in the background. It may not even be the full song for all we know though.
