I was hoping you wouldn't enter, because its legitimately too good of a picture. Perhaps consider becoming an internet pop star with gifs/short videos of Substitute playing Smash.

Best 2D avatar. Substitute is pretty 3D. My inner most oracle needs to probably sleep/watch jojo's before deciding on whether 2D is better than 3D.

Your consistent theme is so nice though. Who's your source? If its often the same person, that's probably the reason I've warmed to them over time. You've had at least two in recent memory that have been rock-star level though. Toon Link brings smiles.

Actually, it's not. It's a photo on the Internet (there's a ton of these. You'll be surprised). Heck, it was another user that found this pic. I just changed it to my avi.
And while I do have a Substitute myself. My photography skills are really crappy.

Sources are various, though most are from Deviantart user Purrdemonium, or the Phantom Hourglass manga (like this one).

I then recolour them to fit the theme.

It's interesting you recolour them, I have always found your avatars and signature to be very coordinated.

I think the second one from the bottom-left fist you the best because - and you'll hate me for phrasing like this - you talk about anime so much and it's an anime I don't know about.
