First off, there have been COUNTLESS Nintendo-Exclusive games made by SEGA lately, such as Sonic Colors, Sonic Lost World, Bayonetta 2, and pretty soon we're getting the Sonic Boom tie in games for 3DS and Wii U

And the ties between Nintendo and SEGA show no sign of deteriorating, so their ties are probably the strongest of any two big-shot Videogaming companies alike, plus they're part of each other's history. Especially with Sonic appearing in a lot of crossovers with Mario, which has been going on for SIX YEARS now.

You still don't like it, the take your Anti-SEGA bias somewhere else
That doesn't necessarily mean that Nintendo is buying sega. It just means they have really close relationships with them right now.

Kind of like how Square Enix was with Nintendo in a sense.

I'm not sure if I'm correct but before final fantasy 7 was released didn't square enix (square at the time) pretty much only do stuff for Nintendo? Those ties didn't show any deterioration and they had 6 of their main games on there along with other great games like Crono trigger, Mario RPG and Secret of Mana.

Working closely together does not assure that Nintendo will go out and buy Sega.

Personally, I don't care either way.

None of that is evidence that Nintendo is buying Sega.

SquareSoft during the SNES era (and even now, to a lesser extent) disproves all of the "exclusive partnership, so buying" points.

Final Fantasy 7 rolls along, and Square stops working with Nintendo on Final Fantasy. All Nintendo gets now are Dragon Quest and Fortune Street (and even then, Fortune Street with DQ/Mario crossover has only been two games).

SquareEnix generally just tended to release their games on whatever console they felt was best for their purpose. They may have released FF7 on the N64 if they had not stuck with the cartridge format. Then again, I still am not clear on the actual relationship between the companies at that time and it will never be known regardless.

My strangest dream is still probably aliens attacking my house and turning my brother into an alien. I threw him over my shoulder and ran upstairs to find my mom as a liquefied blob on the deck.
Or fighting off my mom on the roof while she held a knife to my throat.
Or a giant ladybug on my ceiling oozing that yellow stuff everywhere and then its ladybug minions crawling everywhere.

...dreams.

I had a dream once where I looked on Serebii and saw some newcomers (it was either Brawl or this game. I honestly don't know).
I don't remember all of them, but I do remember Seedot being one.

Alternatively, it's apophenia.
Well, yeah, whatever that means. Either way, I was making a Harry Potter reference

The "sign" is that Nintendo buying SEGA is very likely, and the way that mimgrim has been attacking me about it make it look like he's Anti-SEGA, and highly biased because he doesn't WANT Nintendo to buy SEGA.

Anyone into lucid dreaming?
Not really.
Mostly because I can't for the life of me.
It either never happens, or does when I'm about to wake up.

I'm having one right now. I'm hanging out on Smashboards by the name of @ Sehnsucht Sehnsucht with a bunch of other blokes.

I'll probably be waking up soon.
Well...about that...

I really don't give a damn either way if Sega gets bought.

But there aren't any signs that Sega will be getting bought out any time soon. Hell. They bought out Atlas themselves none to long ago, if memory serves. Does that sound like a company going to be bought out to you?

I've tried but usually lose motivation. closest I got was I was in class in the dream and looked at the time then was like "wait what it's 12?" at which point I tried remembering what happened earlier in the day and realized I was dreaming. I was almmoooooosttt able to fight waking up but I didn't win :(

Not sure what Lucid means, but I have had a pretty weird recurring dream ever since the Christmas holidays of 2010 when I was in a hotel room in Santa Fe New Mexico

I was walking into a Home Depot to find Mr Frumble from that Richard Scarry show when I was a child, and he didn't look too happy. I asked him "Sir, I need to buy some doors," then he barked at me by shouting "WHAT DOORS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" I'll admit it was pretty funny, but it kinda stuck

Ah, a case of traumatizing memories.
You know, they say that dreams have meanings, like the subconscious is telling a story.
And I feel that your subconscious told you something.

Not sure what Lucid means,
To put it simply.
It's that dream you get where you realize it's just that. A dream.
And you're in command with what happens.

Lucid dreams are strange... But sometimes, my dreams are so psychedelic that I KNOW I'm dreaming. The bad thing is, my mind rebels when I try to take control.... bad things happen. Honestly, I think whatever part of my brain controls dreaming hates me. :glare: Best dream I had about a girl that I liked a few years back: I hugged her. That's it, nothing else. Of course, I wouldn't think of her in... other ways, I try to set my thoughts above that kind of stuff... but still, come on.

Oh, and she looks like Annie from AoT BTW. :glare:

The market is debatable just based on who has more money. I know Capcom (CCOEF) stock closed at 19.00 today while Sega is like 5.26 (SGAMY). Though I'm no stock broker it does show some difference between the two companies.

@ mimgrim mimgrim isn't attacking you -- not in the slightest.

He is simply opposing your views because he finds your argumentation to be flawed (at least, so I gather from the present exchange).

If, in your mind, someone opposing your views = a personal attack, then I'm afraid the fault lies with you.

Guys, there's no need to get upset about whether SEGA will be bought out by Nintendo. Cliff has his stance, and the rest have theirs, and you're obviously rooted in what you think, so let's all take a few steps back before this gets ugly.

If I was attacking you, you and everyone else would know it. All I am doing is countering your flawed logic. You don't bring any proof to back up your claims, and burden of proof lies on you in this particular scenario.

If I was attacking you I would be cursing your ass off, calling you all kinds of stupid ass names, and just plain out insulting you without even caring about your argument. At all.

Come now, good man. If you think that the current SEGA discussion is mired in heated drama, or risks devolving into such, then I fear your constitution for argument and debate may not be very strong. Discussing ideas and opposing views can certainly be done; it is when personal attacks come into play when things become worrisome (which has yet to happen here).

And besides, forum staff would intervene at the first signs of things going awry. But such a level of foul play has yet to be reached in this situation.

I wouldn't want either to go bankrupt. Chances are that'll only screw over the Average Joes that work there and didn't do anything wrong. I just want said companies to get their **** together. Namely Capcom, it'd be nice to see if they can go one year without pissing off at least one group of fans.
