Honestly, that's my opinion of Unleashed, except the music sucked too. Only thing it had was decent cutscenes.

For 06 for me? Awesome music, great cutscenes, almost all perfect voices, an interesting storyline, almost entirely fun gameplay(only except is the Mach Speed and forced scrolling sections), and a few annoying glitches. Was honestly extremely fun for me. :3
So you find that BALL PUZZLE fun too?

And personally for me, Unleashed had the best music in the series.

EDIT: There were Music down here but it just became a freaking mess.

Okay, that one I admittedly was annoyed at. But still was better than the day stages. By far. :urg: I never could stand running at a high speed with almost no control.

To be honest, I kind of didn't enjoy the music from the Advance, Rush, or anything console much after 06. Not that they were bad, but just didn't interest me.

Use the two boxes next to each other to create a video. :)

That I can agree with. Sonic music has been pretty weak lately.
Remakes aside, anyway.

I've played some of Lost World and Colors. They're not bad, but just don't have the same oomph that 06 and below had. Especially Shadow, that music was amazing~ I gotta admit, even if the game wasn't the most favorable control-wise for the Dreamcast Saga(Adventure 1, 2, Heroes, Shadow, 06), they had amazing music. I wish at least one of the Shadow songs made it to Brawl. Even Blue Falcon's background music. It's a good theme to fight to.

Eeehhhhh the only good Shadow song was his theme. Same with Colors, the music wasnt bad but the theme was really the only standout piece of music.

I honestly found all the music in there, save the EGGMAN remix fairly good. Not that it was bad, just imo the weakest. All Hail Shadow, Almost Dead, I Am(All of Me), etc. The Blue Falcon theme was a remix of the Sonic Adventure 2: Battle multiplayer theme, and one of the possible boss themes. I think that would've been good for Brawl, since it's battle-style music.

But I loved the game too. Only Third-Person Shooting I could really enjoy at all. Shooters tend to give me a headache, this one didn't, so...

I was more hyped for that game than any other Sonic game in history. Buuuuut..... I hated that game lol The concept was amazing but the execution was dreadful. The inclusion of the terrible 4Kids cast was the nail in the coffin for me.

I liked the voices, but eh.

I found the few glitches and any of the "hit every switch/kill everything" missions pretty annoying. Gatling Gun was cool, though. I mean, my version of Shadow specifically uses it as his main weapon in a roleplay. I'd go into the history of how I played him, but he was purposely all angsty till he went blind, then became far calmer. Fun guy to play as. The hamtastic messages helped~

God okay I loved getting the gatling gun if only because of how god damn ridiculous it looked because of how absurdly huge it was.

My Favorite Sonic the Hedgehog games (in no particular order)

1. Sonic Adventure 2
2. Shadow the Hedgehog
3. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
4. Sonic Battle
5. Sonic the Fighters

Least Favorite Sonic the Hedgehog games (no particular order)

1. Sonic Labyrinth (how did this one even get past the pitch meeting?)
2. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood (don't even start me on the ending, much less everything else)
3. Sonic 2006 (we might still have the darker Adventure era games if this game had actually been finished. Darn shame. I liked Adventure era)
4. Sonic R (REALLY AMAZING SOUNDTRACK, one of the very best in video game history... terrible controls and everything else)
5. Sonic Shuffle (Basically nonexistent difficulty system makes for a very frustrating time).

Sonic the Fighters had a really fun gameplay system that even Brawl borrowed some notes from. Shadow's game was so narmy and had some really cool cutscenes. Also, what other Sonic game really let you let loose on enemies like that?

How are these two on your list?

Regarding Sonic the Fighters, I simply like fighting games... perhaps I am easily amused, but I rather enjoy bashing things around and Sonic the Fighters gives me an excuse to do just that. And I do rather enjoy it. Throw in a catchy soundtrack and some Sonic characters that aren't seen anywhere else (and of course the unique throw when grabbing Espio by the tongue), and I've got myself a Sonic game I really enjoy.

Regarding Shadow the Hedgehog, it's one of those games. It's like Metroid Other M, another game I enjoyed that everyone else seems to hate. There's no denying that it's flawed, but with both of those games, Shadow and Other M, I never found them flawed enough to prevent me from enjoying them. With Shadow the Hedgehog, it was the kind of darker more violent tale you could only tell with Shadow as the lead character, whereas someone more peppy and positive like Sonic would be a rather awkward choice for a lead character in a tale such as this. It allowed Shadow to really have that moment where he could go all out. I really enjoyed Black Doom and the backstory that came with him that ties into Shadow's own backstory. I really enjoyed the soundtrack (then again you really have to search far and wide to find a Sonic game that doesn't have a good soundtrack). I enjoyed the multiple endings that range anywhere from Shadow deciding he shouldn't exist to Shadow karate chopping Eggman to death. And then of course the true ending. I just enjoyed the edgier feel that came with a game that could only be done with Shadow as the main character.

Ive loved Sonic since I was a little kid. First game was Sonic 2 and I was hooked. I love Sonics anniversaries because we both came out in the same month of the same year ahaha so we're only a few days away from each others ages. Sonics really important to me for all those reasons ^^ Hell I used to have like the first 100 archie comics.

Anyway in the back of my mind Ive always wanted a Shadow the Hedgehog 2, but done right.

Being a Touhou fan, I can say that I like the music in it better than Sonic by a long shot.

Mind, Sonic music's not bad, I just think Touhou music is SO much better. Just my two cents.

I'm still waiting for Sonic Adventure 3 or a sequel to Sonic Battle (or just another Sonic fighting game in general). I really wanna go back to multiple playable characters not just "Sonic and maybe the classic gang maybe not".

Also, I might not hate Sonic Chronicles so much if it got a sequel... anybody that played all the way through that one knows what I mean

I'd love a Sonic Adventure 3 but it has to be done right. Multiple stories. Animals. Chaos drives. Chao gardens. It's not Sonic Adventure 3 if the only thing in common is the name.

TOTALLY agree. If they just took the hype worthy name and slapped it onto yet another game in which you JUST play as Sonic and you don't have the Chao Garden that was present in the previous games, then yeah, I'd be very upset. Also, I really liked the darker turn they took with the stories for the Adventure era. I don't HATE Sonic Colors or Sonic Lost World, I find the games fun enough. But the cutscenes in those games are basically setups for Saturday Morning Cartoon jokes and... eh... just not my cup of tea.

I heard that game is VERY masochist.. but you don't seem to enjoy getting the snot beaten out of you.. what's the big appeal in that game?
I wouldn't call it masochist. It's very challenging yes, but not unreasonably.

The only problem I have with it currently is that they have put a rather reasonable boss into a very unreasonable area. I doubt I would mind this boss as much as I do currently if the room was only double as big as it is currently. For you see the boss in particular is very lucked based. He rushes at you right when you get into the room forcing you to try and dodge him or suffer for it. But due to the confined space he will usually hit you anyway. If he doesn't then the 2 dogs probably will get to you more often then not. If they don't then you have to get rid of the dogs asap, but that's easier said then done. Compare this to the 3 previous bosses I fought, it is very irritating. The first boss was somewhat easy, I chose to kill it with Black Firebombs on my first encounter with it instead of running away. The second one challenged me. I died like 7-10 times against it. However every time was due to my stupidity and I recognized it. The 3rd boss(es) I actually killed on my first try, they were pathetically easy for some reason. This third boss though is heavily dependent on luck, which I have NEVER EVER liked in a boss for any game whatsoever. I don't mind getting the snot beat out of me in a videogame, I just don't like it when it is beating me in a unreasonable way. I still plan on going through with the game though, as it is very fun. Just this 4th boss not so much.

Yes, father.

That movie looks familiar.

I also have something to say to all of you.

I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

That is all.

And yet they'll still find a way to make the 3DS version a watered-down port.
It always happens.

Eeeeehhhh idgaf about that one. Although that versions being made by the people behind the newest Sly Cooper game soooooo Im sure itll be fine.
That's what they say.
They said that during Sonic Generations. We instead got a mediocre Sonic Rush.
They said that during Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed. We instead got a glitchy and laggy mess.
They said that during Sonic Lost World. We instead got an even worse version of the console version.

Until I see otherwise, I'm skipping this one.

Except those were made by Dimps and Sumo Digital (who had never prior made an actual noteworthy game). So yeah. Kinda different.
