There are 34 stages total, with 4 stages shared by the Wii U (Battlefield, FD, Boxing Ring, Wily's Castle) and 10 Classic Stages (3 from Melee, 7 from Brawl). This means that Smash 3DS has 20 exclusive stages.

I suspect that the Wii U stage roster will have a similar distribution (the four shared stages, ten classic stages, and twenty exclusive stages).

I also suspect that the Wii U will be getting unique stages where the 3DS got classic ones, and vice-versa. Observe the present comparison:

-Great Fox (U exclusive) VS. Corneria (3DS classic)
-Garden of Hope (U exclusive) VS Distant Planet (3DS classic)
-Pyrosphere (U exclusive) VS Brinstar (3DS classic)
-Windy Hill (U exclusive) VS Green Hill Zone (3DS classic)
-Halberd (U classic) VS Gameboy Kirby (3DS exclusive)

If one system gets an exclusive stage for a franchise, the other system will likely get a classic stage from the same franchise. If the above pattern holds, then here are some tentative predictions for the shape of the Wii U Roster:

-DKCR Stage (U exclusive) VS Jungle Japes (3Ds classic)
-Port Town Aero Dive (U classic) VS F-Zero Retro Stage (3DS exclusive)
-Classic Mother Stage (U classic) VS Magicant (3DS exclusive)

We could also get new Wario and Yoshi stages on the Wii U. I don't know what could be the equivalent of Flat Zone 2. As for Pictochat, it's Wii U parallel is equally hard to determine. There might also be more stages shared between systems (such as Flat Zone 2, for instance), but the stage total will still be 34, and the current distribution is a nice round 4-20-10, so I don't expect any more shared stages than the four we have.

Pretty cool stuff, and it reassures me after seeing so many classic stages padding the 3DS stage roster.

EDIT: This also means that there are 15 stages left to be revealed in the Wii U version.

Oh nice, a Magicant stage for 3DS. I expected a Mother 3 Stage, but this is really hype!

Can you source this information? I've been following the Leak Group throughout the day, and while something about Brazil did come up, the actual consensus in the Group is that this is an internal leak, with someone at Nintendo of America leaking stuff meant to be sent to the ESRB for rating purposes (and from there, the leaked info floated around a Brawl modding community, where it then made its way to the online public).

This may be obvious, but the fourth party I'd want the most is Optimus Prime. He'd just dominate the entire field with his final smash Matrix of Leadership.

Not quite the same, but you can play as him in the Smash clone Dream Mix Tv Fighters.

I'll give you that you still have reason to doubt the character select picture if you are really skeptical and/or salty. However, faking those videos is simply ridiculous. Do you have any idea how much effort one would have to put in for such a thing? You would have to recreate the Smash 4 animations for Bowser, Pikachu, and Kirby, and hack them into Brawl. You would have to recreate Smash 4's Battlefield. You would have to make a custom rig for Bowser Jr. and make his entire moveset, and animate it to the same standard as Nintendo's animations. Then do the same for Shulk. You would also have to edit all the gfx in Brawl to match Smash 4's style of blurs and whatnot. You would also have to fake the SSB4 style results screen, which is not possible in Brawl. You would also need the announcer calls for the countdown and red team (which to my knowledge has not been heard up until today) This would require months of work just for a silly hoax. I doubt anyone has so much time on their hands and is a big enough troll to pull this off. Not to mention if this was fake, then why would Nintendo's Ninjas remove the videos? If they were hoaxes, Nintendo wouldn't need to take them down. There have been plenty of fake Smash 4 videos that haven't been removed, because they are false.
