I've been gone for a few hours but now I'm back. In that time I played brawl with a classic controller and changed the configuration to more closely match the 3DS version. L is grab R is shield. Having used a gamecube controller my whole life for Smash, I can say it was incredibly awkward and difficult to get used to. I know it's something you need to get used to but, it's really strange. Here's hoping I can get it down well enough for Smash 3DS.

Haha, don't worry, I am chill. It was actually Loz's idea for me to stand in for him... Then, I started being a regular for Unity. Lozjam is going to have one hell of a time when he comes back though....

You're going to get used to the controls eventually. At least you're trying with the Classic Controller.
The option for changing the control layout could still be on these games. Who knows?

I can't really get used to the Classic controller nor Wii Remote, as my fingers start to hurt a lot faster (sometimes even painful) than when I use the GC controller. I think maybe it's the button sizes, idk, but it's weird.

A lot of my friends say the same thing. Most of them say it's how the A button isn't a big one, like the others, but I manage to work by with the X/Y jump, B Special and A Attack setup.
It just takes a lot of time to get used to it, however.
