I live in Virginia, there's always something going on. The only problem is that I'm not interested in the competitive scene, I'm just a hardcore casual. Smash, for me at least, is more about the bringing together of not only Nintendo characters, but family and friends, and being able to beat the living snot out of each other. People who buy or play games only for the competitive scene bug me, especially due to the fact that they offhandedly brand things as broken, use tier lists to determine who's best, etc. I don't mind tier lists, but when one abides by it to a t, often times you probably aren't fully enjoying whatever game you're playing and will just be playing for empty wins. Smash is also how I met my girlfriend and one of my best friends in the entire world, so it has a special place in my heart. Once the game releases, I probably won't come around here as often, as I'll be too busy playing with my friends and cousins to care about the meta-game talk.
