This week is so far exactly like last week, though not exactly in the same order;
  • Starts with an assist trophy disconfirmation
  • Item confirmed (Tuesday this week, Wednesday last week)
So, the rest of the week will be as follows;
  • Stage
  • Stage
  • Previously seen game mode with more detail given to it
...maybe

Yea thats how it goes some times. I guess they don't want to reveal every character from the Zelda series. Hopefully they revealed all the Mario characters....

Yea, we should be getting a reveal sometime this month huh?

Well that and Famitsu or whoever is showing the full starting roster. I'm assuming its all the revealed characters minus 3rd parties. Or they'll include them for "promotional" purposes.

I don't think everyone revealed thus far is going to be starter, mainly because it would be odd if all the Fire Emblem characters were starter. And we need Ness to go with Captain Falcon if he's starter.

Just to keep in mind one of the stage last week was basically just a reveal.

But the other one was a reveal + a tease. This method has already been used a lot and it was mostly hidden. I think there will be one of those teases this week (probably the last), but with Sakurai, you never know...

Someone should make a meme with a picture of Sakurai which would say on the top "Your argument" and on the bottom "is irrelevant".

Because POTD are so hard to predict (I got my day a week after I tough I would get it that should tell you how unexpected it went).

Well, Hyrule Warriors does come out in Japan before SSB4, so that day would work for Ganondorf if not kept secret until release. Then again, we got nothing for MK8 for example soo...

I was half joking when I posted that, but I do find it strange that we have two weeks in a row that begin with a disconfirmation of a retro Japan only character. I'm sure it's a coincidence though...

I love how in the Hyrule Warriors direct, they didn't want to spoil the fact that Sheik was Zelda, but they were perfectly fine with spoiling that Midna was cursed and wasn't in her true form.

Sadly, I agree with this, Sakurai hasn't played along with anything ever since the American release of Tropical Freeze.

I called the tease on Saturday, but this seemed promising...

That would be kinda weird tough, but I think it might happen (if it's the case, that would probably be the first pattern he did on a whole week).

Yeah, I still can't believe that Earth Day, US/JPN Mothers' Day, UK Mothers' Day and Earthbound's Anniversary all passed with absolutely no acknowledgment from Sakurai. Ness should've been announced from the start back at last year's E3.

Pretty sure Kennith? Kenneth? Ken- that guy, had mentioned in this thread multiple times that he considered Ghirahim playable already, as the Dynasty Warriors games have a precedent of letting you play as the villains.

August 27th is the anniversary of EarthBound's release in Japan way back in 1994. Maybe Sakurai will put have another trailer on that day with Ness in it kind of like how the Robin trailer was coincidentally on the same day as F-Zero X's anniversary.

Or maybe I just want to straw grasp for my pipe dream Shulk trailer that has Ness or Lucas in it.
