I've stumbled on Ridley discussions in here before. You have a point about the RTC thread, but he WAS rated a few days ago though... also I probably should turn off Ridley's theme from Frigate Orpheon. It will fix everything.

I still think you're making it a bigger (heh) deal than it actually is.

There are a lot of people who've really, really wanted this character since Melee, so over 12 years. The fact you want him to disconfirmed for the sole purpose of all of them being severely let down AGAIN is just a bit silly.

Usually when I don't want something to happen, it's because I would find a salty flooded SWF funny.
Like the Gematsu leak. I didn't have anything against it, I just thought it would be funny as hell if it was false (My words were "It would be funny if the Chorus Kids got in but nobody else from the leak").

It's that people WANT HIM to not make it in. I personally am indifferent to characters that I don't want.

Well, I don't.

I'm not exactly a nice guy, but there is a huge difference between disliking something and relishing when moment when something bad happens to someone you dislike.

Or feeling satisfied when the people who keep trying to shove their made up statistics and theories down your throat against your will are proven wrong. Not everyone is annoying, but it's satisfying tasting the tears of those who are incredibly adamant about being an asshole about their predictions.

I did want the leak to be fake, not out of spite, but because I didn't like it's character selection. I still would prefer it was incorrect, but I would still feel bad for those (such as @ Louie G. ) who legitimately wanted the Chorus Kids.

I do not want Ridley because:

• Only Metroid I have played is Metroid Prime, and I'm not very far. It's an alright game I guess, but the non-linear nature of it sometimes causes me to pull my hair out, especially when I keep backtracking through a certain area, take a ton of damage, then chicken back to the save point to get all my health back.
• Charizard fills my dragon quota just fine.
• The constant discussion about him that always ends in the same place it starts (nowhere) annoys me to no end.
• I don't care about whether a character is an antagonist or a girl. I only care about how they play. (In other words, I don't care about the "not enough villains" argument that seems to be tossed around.)
• That being said, no possible movesets for Ridley stand out to me. Most just seem like a Jigglypuff/Charizard amalgam with some flight gimmick tacked on. I'm pretty sure it's possible to make a moveset for Ridley that I'll find interesting. Whoever made that Chrom moveset for that DLC proposal thing made me want to play as Chrom. That is quite difficult.

And hey, I'm not so sure I'm alive anyhow, so maybe I don't like breathing, I dunno.

I can never bring myself to enjoy tears of others though. I think most of us will experience disappointment one way or another (could be something small, or big), however, even if I'm disappointed because of something, I'm still going to buy the game. There's just so many things I love about it. That, and I'm a Smash Bros. collector too. Can't miss these installments!

I never ever put a person down for a character they want, just for the leaks they believe religiously enough to call people idiots for not believing in it.

I don't care if you want Ridley, Sukapon, Diskun, what have you. Just because I don't want them in particular doesn't mean I'm hating on them though. I want Paper Mario and Geno. One of which won't happen, and the other... well, considering the stage, I'm not so sure about. I personally have no right to think another person is stupid for wanting a certain character, nor does anyone else.
(Other characters I want include the Chorus Kids).


The people I don't respect are the people who are rude to innocent people.
That includes people on both sides.

Being annoyed by a group of people is fine and bound to happen. Just don't punch them in the face with arrogance and you're fine.

But like I said, I only really ever thought too badly of a group of people when they started thinking a group of people was a "lesser" group of people (i.e. the Gematsu Schism and the Brawl/Melee - Casual/Competitive devide).

I agree, he's definitely deserving of some role. I don't think he's playable BUT seeing him as his monster form as an Assist Trophy would be cool.
I don't think he'll be disconfirmed this week, though.

Well, he can pick up a boulder with relative ease,
Makes crushing rocks seem such a breeze.
He may be slow, he can't jump high,
But this Kong's one hell heck of a guy!

He's easy to avoid, due to moving slow and not jumping high, but he's still one heck of a guy.
