I thought that Sakurai confirmed that Nosferatu was the first move in Smash Brothers that recovered HP. I suppose I misread his statement.
He might have meant draining HP. As in you deal damage to someone and you heal off of that.

EDIT: Beaten to the punch.

Wow. Her custom neutral b can recover health?!?

I already knew her down b did it.

Everybody's ignoring the greatness of the :4wiifit::4wiifit::4wiifit:

I guess they haven't translated this yet http://www.wiiz.fr/medias/divers/2/3604.jpg :ohwell:
Wait, so I guess this confirms that you can run into your opponents on the Smash Run map? (The screenshot with Mario, Sonic, Samus, and King Dedede suggests it)

I was convinced you couldn't, but if you can, awesome!

Also, when Sakurai talked about Nosferatu, he meant the first to drain HP from another player and heal the person draining the HP. Ness has always been able to recover HP with his Down Special, by absorbing projectiles with it.

Do you guys think that anyone else will get the Mii and Palutena treatment, where they get completely new moves?

Nah. Actually, I was surprised Palutena got that treatment. I think everyone else's customs will just be spinoffs of the default.

If they were it would more then likely have to be with someone who has not been announced. Though I don't see it as likely. As the whole different powers thing is kind of what is suppose to set the Miis and Palutena apart.

I can actually see Mr. Game and watch having this treatment but es very unlikely. IF a vet gets this treatment than I think it would be G&W

If anyone else is going to get the Mii/Palutena treatment, it's going to be a currently unannounced character, and said character will have to have either a lot of concrete moves in their own game, or will have to have the sort of status in their game's canon that would suggest they are powerful and can do a lot.

Many of the current roster already fit this bill though (Mario, Sonic, Luigi, Mega Man, Link, Toon Link, Pit, Rosalina - just a few off the top of my head), so I don't see it as particularly likely for future newcomers. Sakurai has implied that Mii and Palutena are the only characters period, to get this treatment.

...I really don't like the custom moves. At all. I think it would have been better to just work on balancing the characters and their normal movesets instead of adding two other ones for each special.

I don't like it now since it's taking development time, but it'll be more fun in the future

I guess they don't really bother me that much, I can think of bigger wastes of development time then the custom moves would be.

I think it's a cool addition, personally.

I like the customisable elements a lot because they give the games a lot more replayability, especially with a mode like Smash Run. And honestly, I think they would make tournaments more interesting.

I'm hoping the Wii U version has a big new game mode that also encourages experimenting with customisation, like Smash Run does. Still faintly holding out for Super Smash World. :c

EDIT: Also, an excellent thing:

I'm making my family watch last nights Space Dandy. And I've rewatched this scene at least 5 times, once in Japanese:

It says on the official site that Palutena and Mii are special. Palutena's gimmick is having complete new moves, Miis gimmick is that it's banned from online with anyone.

I honestly believe the Wii U will have an exclusive gamemode that will blow everyone's minds.
I'd put money on that.

Hmm...
I wonder how the competitive scene will handle customization. It would make things more interesting, and the miis would be usable, but as Sakurai himself said in a potd they might be a bit too powerful since balancing was focused more on the base moves.
I honestly see the base moveset being the only usable thing in competitive since that's the way it is online and since Sakurai himself seemed to intend for those to be what it used.

Well yeah, that's a given.
If the Wii U version was just the 3DS version with different stages and no Smash Run, I don't think it'd actually be worth it

I only say it that way because I've seen people act like there's a slim chance of it not happening.
What the mode will be exactly is up in the air, but I hope it's some kind of super advanced form of Melee's adventure.

So what was the Comicon surprise?
Well, there was this weird guy who kept waving at the camera during breaks. Also, Bowser is S tier. But I guess neither of those count. :ohwell:

Ah, I'll probably be asleep then.

Listening to the Smash victory themes in previous incarnations makes me really curious to the victory themes of the new playable series.

So anybody want to see a video of me from my freshman year of college getting owned by a ping pong ball? You won't actually see me, because I'm recording. Also, it's on my instagram which I only have to post stupid things, I don't really like the site as a whole. Not that I care about anybody stalking me.

Sure? It's not like I'm going to stalk your instagram and somehow find out who you are or anything. :p
