Not sure it's been posted yet, but it seems Brawl in the Family will be ending soon.

I understand why he's doing it, but nonetheless, I'm going to miss it. It's been a lot of fun reading those comics, and it's sad to see it end after so long.

I kind of figured that this was going to happen. His breaks kept getting longer and longer and I got the feeling that the series was going to end when SSB4 came out. It's definitely been fun following it these past six years.

Actually, this is the one thread where there is no topic.
It's a Social thread.

But I will answer your question.
Metroid is a very big series, and people don't like how it only has 2 characters, both of which are the main character.

People think that Ridley simply deserves to be in the game, much like how K. Rool deserves to be in.
They are both the main villain (some may argue otherwise, but it is largely accepted) of their respective franchises, both of which deserve more than 2 reps.

My stance on characters I don't particularly care about is usually based on whether or not their supporters are annoying.

The whole argument about Ridley annoys me on both ends so I don't particularly care for him.

Well I'll say this to be on-topic. Why specifically, do people want Ridley in smash?

Any combination of:

A) Personal appeal (e.g. liking the character of Ridley, etc.);

B) Expanding the Metroid roster (i.e. Metroid is deserving of more characters, and Ridley is first in line among worthy candidates);

C) Expanding the large/heavyweight class (which currently only has DK/DDD/Bowser);

D) Being overdue (i.e. highly popular/requested character, one of few remaining Nintendo All-Stars not yet playable, etc.);

E) Gameplay potential (i.e. large aerial fighter, lots of moveset possibilities, etc.).

For myself, points A and E account for my own desire for Ridley, though I naturally agree with B-C-D.

The above can also apply for King K. Rool, whom I also wish for (you could replace A through E with K Rool and DK).

I feel like anything can happen. To be on the safe side, I'd say minor information about a game-mode or a veteran reveal (tomorrow is Friday, after all. That might be significant). However, I would love an out-of-left-field newcomer reveal.

Are those series symbols for Isaac and Shulk actually added in, or did you just replace some that were already there?

I've slowly been getting back into the Brawl hacking mood and I want to see if I can actually import a new stage or character model properly. I hope I can do it this time. :'(
