So, I went to GameFAQ's... :facepalm: Someone said Tanooki Mario is lighter than Mario... If this is true, everyone has different weights. Is it true? Or did that disrespectful idiot not know what he was talking about?

They are both Medium but I wouldn't call him a disrespectful idiot. It could be that Tanooki FELT lighter to him

I like to use Tanooki mario, city tripper, slick and cloud things.
For villager, I used the bone rattler. Same set up.

Refer to Radical Beam's chart.
The more the characters are on the top, the easier they are to knock around.
So Dry Bowser can knock almost everyone around with ease and Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach and Baby Daisy will get pushed the most. Also they can't move others as easily.

Ah, yeah.
I usually just use Bowser, DK and Lemmy for characters sake, though would definitely use Dry Bowser if I had him.
Also geez, why is Link heavy? I feel like he should be medium, characterwise....

Most likely because he can hold so many things in his games. Iron balls, metal gauntlets, a legendary sword, etc.

Heavyweights are top tier in MK8 competitively speaking because of their attributes. Speed + fire hopping being a thing apparently matters in MK8, so um... yeah, if you're competitive and play the game that way you'll see these characters in races because they're pretty much the "top tiers:"
