I was really hoping that, in addition to being able to change outlines, there would be an option to change filters to match the art styles from some of the newcomer trailers.

Yeah i kinda know that. But since i entry on this thread with the lots of memes in it. It's so weird for me now.
Well that was one of the main problems Sonic Boom failed; as a "spin-off reboot", they tried to accomplish so much new stuff without enough development time. Outside of making their development scope too wide, SEGA had to oversee two versions of Sonic Boom, with a TV show thrown on top of that. No doubt, there was probably complications in-house, too.This picture is so true.
The question is: What is better? a Sonic game safe but not really innovatif? Or a Sonic game ambitious but with probably too much idea?
