That doesn't sound ethical at all, disbarring all marking rules and criteria. I know plagiarism is wrong, but that doesn't sound like plagiarism.English teachers are so cruel.
So I make straight A's all throughout the course, with an exception of one or two B's on minor writing assignments. For my final major paper, I accidentally let one quote go without citing it. So that one quote I missed, my teacher labeled my paper as plagiarism, and therefore I get a 0 which brought my average grade down a lot. All that hard work was for naught. One quote... one.
So basically, how I feel:

I assume the paper went through a computer scan and immediately picked that up. Don't know if you can take this up and personal to the authorities, but if the rest of your paper was sound, it should be graded. It's BS.
