My SquidBoards account is just lying there. If I actually had a Wii U, things might have been different.
The spiritual successor to dynamic platformer duo Banjo-Kazooie. The project is helmed by a handful of ex-Rare employees under Playtonic studios, and old Rare composers David Wise and Grant Kirkhope.
Yooka-Laylee is basically the answer to the Banjo-Threeie that everybody wanted for over a decade.

I remember seeing somewhere that Yooka-Laylee supposedly will have Amiibo support, but I don't remember where.

Just out of interest, why exactly happened with Mighty No. 9? Did they ask for more money or did the game not turn out well or what?
Bleh. Why did this reward have to be such a huge pledge cost?
If I had the money, I would pledge the PLEB out of the project. Voicing a character in an official project is one of my life goals.
It's going to be released digitally and physically in September later this year. They've had a development blog on their process for a long time now. You can check here.

The stretch goal for £2 mil should be bribing Nintendo to put Yooka-Laylee in Smash.

They desperately used them in a kinect demo game. It's like they try to be Nintendo, but can't because they don't know how to fanservice in the right way. Besides, everyone from the original Banjo&Kazooie team is now at Playtonic Games. So yeah, Microsoft can go **** itself.
