Time for some unrelated stories (no not haiku's, this is bigger than that (not really)).
Five years, I was playing the Atari 2600 game "Oink!" (breakout in reverse), on an emulator through my Xbox 360 (yeah I said it)
Anyways, I was surprised to get to number one on the leaderboards for this game, and even more surprised when I doubled that.
Fast forward to today and... I'm still number one. Uneventful end huh?

Basically Sportsnation did a little comedy bit referencing the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight happening this week (it's a REALLY big deal in the boxing world). The three hosts were superimposed over Punch-Out, with the two guys being Doc Louis and the woman being Little Mac. Highlights included her knocking out Glass Joe in one punch by accident since she's still not sure what's happening, recreations of the bicycle scene, and in the end

Spoiler: Can't believe I'm actually spoiler-ing this

Pacquiao and Mayweather showing up as custom Punch-Out!! opponent sprites while she then wakes up, revealing it was all a dream.

It just made me smile.

I still remember it fondly, but then again, Nintendo was never very popular in my region to begin with (outside of piracy that is, Nintendo piracy in my country is a thing of legends, which is possibly why its so hard to get theyr stuff legit now a days )
