Heihachi Mishima's JP voice actor sucks.
I could be easily wrong, but I think there was a rumor saying he would voice classic sonic in Sonic Generations. Though this was probably dumb speculation by the fan base.

How about Furuya Toru? He's a famous voice actor in Japan. He even voiced Casshern in Casshern Sins.
Sega originally planned to get him voice Klayssic Sonic in Generations, but they left the character mute.

That honestly would have been pretty awesome. I have no problem with mime Classic Sonic, but still.

Here's the thing, it's not like Sonic didn't speak in the classic era; he spoke in Sonic CD, he spoke quite a bit in SegaSonic, and of course there's the Sonic OVA. He spoke in a few Japanese commercials as well.
Because people would rather have Snake or moar Sanic (Or Sawnik as Damien and rest of the SSF2 crew used to say) characters instead.
I'd be fine wth that as long as it's the Battle Theme with the cheesy rapping in the background. It would be funny because of how out of place it sounds and the many fanboys that would whine about it.
Or they want characters that will never be in Ssb4. For example, Shante and King K.rool.
