If you want laughs, this movie will give it to you. Lots of them, too, heh. The story is pretty okay for the most part.

People hate it for being a spinoff of Despicable Me and also for being "mainstream". Then again, Minions has generated a huge fanbase mainly because they are SO DANG FUNNY. I honestly think they deserve the popularity they get, but some people just don't agree.

Well like i said i'm probably not gonna to watch it but thank's for showing you opinion! I really like it Despicable Me 1 and 2 by the way.

I found D-idara's YouTube account and checked comments he's made in videos for the past few months.

I'm honestly traumatized. Like, he's gotten worse and whinier since I last saw him here (he got banned, after all).

I've been aware of it (his YouTube account) for months now. Agreed x9000 with that statement.
Still, I don't think it's a good idea to talk behind his back.

Well, it IS pretty silly when you think about it that way.

Frozen would've been a better example. That is a movie that gets a lot of hate due to it being mainstream.

That's just what I was about to get to. Frozen gets both a CRAPton of love and hate for it. Thing is, most critics like myself like to pay attention to its not-so-good story versus the mainstreamness spewing from it's songs and Elsa/Anna. It's one of the reasons why the ratings for the movie are so conflicting: they average out to around 7/10.

Overall, the idea behind mainstream people hating on something mainstream is pretty silly. But it happens in our society. Just gotta live with that fact.
