The emblem was uncovered from the games files post release, not "leaked", and it means they were atleast planned to be in the game which is interesting atleast.

Southern CA's in a lot of need for rain right now.

Fortunately this entire weekend it's been getting a lot of it. Unfortunately it's still rather muggy and hot in my area in spite of that. To make matters worse, our air conditioner isn't working correctly and we aren't going to be able to use it again until Tuesday....bleh.

I don't see how that decreases the chance of a 2nd Sonic character when you factor that you're going to get huge variances in sample size when you throw in casuals and out-of-fandom players. Not to mention that SSB5 will have a completely fresh dev cycle outside the Ballot. Things could fluctuate and facilitate for any of the Sonic co-stars by then, but Ryu breaking the 1-character-per-3rd-party paradigm certainly makes them closer to realize by a long shot.

So I guess I don't understand Smash speculation simply because I'd be interested in seeing someone like Dr. Eggman or Knuckles be DLC.

Yeah, it's not enough to be in full knowledge that a 2nd Sonic character has rather questionable chances, for someone to truly understand Smash speculation, they have to actively OPPOSE the idea of it happening. :rolleyes:
