While this isn't exactly on the current topic, I've been having a question that I don't know the answer for.
I have been homeschooled for at least the majority of my life, and I'm thinking of going into a public high school since I feel I might be able to get a better structure out of it (and it would help ease me in when I go to college). However, since I know little to nothing about the topic, I was curious if it'd be a good idea.
Depends on the school, some are good some are bad. I've went to private school for pretty much all my life but I've been to some public schools for extra credit in some classes. Public school allows you to have that social interaction with others before college.

I've heard it's an okay school. Not the greatest in the world, but not a hellhole either.

Testing into higher tier classes might reduce your interaction with the "lost causes". Public school mixes everyone from a variety of backgrounds into one, giant melting pot. You should be fine.

If you have bad homeschooling, then yes. I'm sure you know as well as I that people who are homeschooled are often more successful than those schooled by the state (by that I mean state as in da gubamint) or even by private schools, so, if you think you have good homeschooling, then no.
To be honest, I see it being easy to adjust to. It's not like you're going to fail simply because you're not used to how the class interacts, which largely depends on the teacher.
Edit: You'll also learn a LOT of false history in public schools. They're incentivized to increase their student's favor of public education and the government in general, because that means more funds and jobs and power and etc. for them. Of course, that's a general incentive and there are exceptions.

See, that's the situation I'm stuck in. It's not bad (I'm certainly not a dolt), but I do have a lack of structure on top of certain areas I have problems in (like social skills, but that's more of my personality). And especially for college that's going to be my biggest flaw.
