And none too many that would've worked with a functional counter
Here we have chars that actually look right with counters

Ryu has the Focus Attack. So it might not actually be a counter. Y'know, if it works like it does in Street Fighter 4. It'll be a really strong punch with a lot of Super Armor.

Still I do kind of agree. There's a lot of counters in this game. Some of them have some similarities in execution. Though of course there's specific things about each that differ. But it's the kind of thing that isn't always apparent to newer players.
