Nintendo knows how to bring the hype. Bringing back Roy, putting Ryu, Mii costumes, new stages, etc...
Now we just need the character (or characters) from the Ballot. I'm personally thinking of Shantae and K.Rool as ballot characters.

Me too! I love his video! Homever he said in one of his video that he would have liked to see Ryu in 2D like in Street Fighter 2 so i don't know how he would react to that.

I think he'll take any version of Ryu including his 4 variation. Also his classic stage and music is in so that should be enough to appease him too.

There was a sale on Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition recently. IDK if its still on or not.

Also depending on what consoles you have I'd def recommend the Marvel vs. Capcom series. They seem to be a little easier to get into, they've got the crossover thing going for them, and they're just so darn fast and insane. I can't recommend MvC3 though because I haven't played it but 2 is my favorite and you can get that on just about any Non-nintendo system now (even iOS...)

SF4 is a good place to start (PC, PS3, X360, PS4, 3DS). PS4 as a whole is a good place for Street Fightin now, with USF4 as the best version of the game (after patching), and SF5 is a comin next year. On PC you have the added advantage of having stuff like WinKawaks and MAME for older games in the series. WiiU has Super and Turbo, but for some reason lacks Super Turbo as a whole which stinks. It also has Alpha 2 but Im not sure how good is that port, and the game itself isnt as good as Alpha 3 (IMO). Same with SSF4 on 3DS, while a solid port it lacks the upgrades from AE and Ultra.

I'll try getting the PC version then.

Also I was looking at the soundfiles and Roy still has his Melee voice (just Japanese--Sakurwhy) but Ryu has both Japanese and English voices. In his victory pose he says either "Give it your all" "The journey has just begun" or "Your range is one fist short" along with the hadoken and hurricane kick stuff he says in SF4

I'm really curious as to how Ryu's focus is going to work in this game. Is it going to heal him upon being charged? There's no provisional damage in Smash so maybe it'll be permanent? Otherwise its REALLY weird to see Ryu and Mario in the same picture. Never thought in a million years I'd ever see that happen.

Now that I think about it. Roy's Standard B should be different from Ike and Marth as it is. Marth now stabs forward. Ike always hit the ground. But Roy keeps the arching slice from Melee. Not a major difference, but it's something.

If it works like in SF4, it's not exactly a counter. It should be a Super Armor move. I wonder exactly how strong it is though. In SF4, it also breaks blocking I think, so with that being the case, It might break shields.

Yeah the arm position really threw me off. It looks like his parrying animation tbh just with the added effect. I really hope it does break shields and blocks projectiles. Make this man as high of a tier as he deserves to be

Being unfamiliar with Street Fighter, I have almost no idea about the stuff @ Luggy is fanboying over. Ah, what can you do.

The parry system was in Street Fighter III. Basically, tapping once in any direction with the joystick just when the move hits you (so doing it at the first frame) blocks the attack and lets you counter attack.
It's mostly popular due to this amazing video :

The parry is a really hard move to use, but there's so much hype by doing it.
