I played PMD Red Rescue Team as a Child
And as soon as you get to a certain point in the game
Game gets 100% More BS
Never got past Arcticuno. :\
Articuno was pretty tough. But after that scene, the feels start getting in. The story really kicks off. Did I mention the post game content was awesome, and Lucario came from that game?
I was glad about the difficulty. Taht was one of the things taht made it fun for me. If you thought that was hard, just wait till you fight rayquaza...

I will never understand the mindset of guys who cry from video game stories, let alone Nintendo based ones. ¦D;

Seriously, not a single one of them is anywhere near that serious or moving, in my opinion.

But eh, different strokes for different folks, eh? (:
Personally, I can understand people being emotional. It the same when people cry at movies or books.
Though the one I never got was AZ's backstory.
I could never get behind the logic of massacring Pokemon all to revive yours. I mean sure, you're not only killing families, you're most likely making some species extinct, but gosh darn it Lassie's dead!
I mean really, is killing hundreds of Pokemon and causing a war worth reviving that one?

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is probably my favorite Pokemon spin-off, with Pokemon Conquest right behind it. Red Rescue team was the first video game that I cried about, with the emotional grip at the ending, and the fantastic music. It was so good!
I did not even buy the 3ds version. It looked terrible and changed so many mechanics. Like the hunger system. I loved that mechanic, not only because it was nostalgic, but it made more items useful and it made you react quicker. But then they took it ot for most dungeons.
I am honestly glad that Nintendo is not acknowledging the Gates to Infinity even exists. Hopefully they make another MD game, and it returns to the roots of the spin-off.
EDIT: I also hate how you get to choose your character. What is the fun in that? Plus the choices were terrible. :(
Gates to Infinity was so easy you could beat it under 30 minutes. The Pokémon selection was incredibly limited and yeah, they removed features. The game in general showed the potential of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon on 3DS, but knowing them all, they have recieved "meh" reviews from critics. Of course, reviews don't matter as they're opinions.
The next Pokémon Mystery Dungeon should be good, have a great story, have a bigger Pokémon selection, the return of the DS PMD game mechanics, and obviously, Mega Evolutions. Perhaps it's going to be on the New 3DS as an exclusive?

Oh, you're missing out on even more BS, then. :4dedede:
Like Monster Houses...in Sky Tower...
Or mandatory 99-floor dungeons containing things which can attack you from anywhere within a room...

*shrug*

I still enjoyed the hell out of Blue Rescue Team, to be fair, but I do think it got incredibly, tediously difficult at points. As well as containing many things where I just look back and think "that's just silly."
The sequel(s) is better in every single way pretty much. I'd recommend it.

As for my opinion on Wii U, I think it's an alright console with some flaws. But some of the software I've played were fantastic. But my major issue is that they're so far few and between. I have to wait many months to play the next Wii game I'm hyped up for. There's barely good third party support (outside of niche indie titles) and the Wii U itself still feels behind the 360/PS3 in terms of online content.

It's been improving at least. I was resentful of buying the console at launch, but that changed with Mario 3D World being great and their E3 showing for this year was full of nice surprises, so it sort of makes up for some of its shortcomings. With that said, Smash Bros U looks great, but I'm on the fence about Bayonetta and Hyrule Warriors. Bayonetta looks like fun though (thankful there's a demo for me to try out in the future), but HW might not be the game for me. Splatoon, Yoshi's Wooly World and Kirby's Rainbow Curse all look like something for me to look forward to as well!

3DS... on the other hand, I feel most of Nintendo games there are a hit or miss... Is there any exciting games on the horizon though? I don't really care much for ORAS, I'm still sort of burned from XY.
I tested a Wii U demo unit last year. It was good, the GamePad felt great, and the HD graphics (I only had the opportunity to look at the menu) looked nice, but I don't know if I should get one or not. Meh.

Do we even know for sure if the custom characters past the Mii transfer to the Wii U?

The only Mystery Dungeon game I played was Explorers of Sky.
For what the game is worth it's okay. Though I'll admit the story could be a bit eh at times.

Oh yeah, the art style should change. It'll obviously have 3D models, that's for sure. I suppose Gates to Infinity was boring in general because well, it's Gen 5. Literally the only good thing about that Gen was the competitive stuff.

I think they do. But whether the custom moves can be used for another set is a different question. They might be locked on the character you transfer. Unless you already have those moves.

Madness, grief and despair, MVG. Madness, grief and despair.

It's a formula Japan loves to use quite often. When someone puts their entire world into one being or thing, and then lose it, they either blame themselves or they blame the world.

Nah, son. Spider-Man and Batman vs. Mario and Link. True hype match of the century.
Not even gonna lie, I would totally support that if it's just those two.

You know, I'm actually very sick of ignorant *******es on the internet throwing that word around and thinking it's a proper insult or label to throw onto people. Did everyone just suddenly regress to highschoolers with the mindset of preschoolers or something?

Just ignore that video, RR. Even if it's a joke, it's in terrible taste.
Actually, I believe I watched the same video. The person wasn't joking nor was he trying to insult anyone. He actually said before he started the video he did lots of research reading books, talking to professors on the subject. All that jazz. And that he tried really hard to make sure he was as accurate as possible.

I would link the video, but it also delves into sexual preference and, while nothing too explicit, has a couple things that are "saucy."

There are points that I think he makes too many leaps in logic though.

I say with SSB4, it's a great time to get it if you're interested in the titles that's already out.

I highly recommend Mario 3D World and Pikmin 3 especially, they're amazing games. NSMBU is alright, it's just another rehash, less so than the previous entries, but still a rehash, but it's a well made game. Wonderful 101's demo was... okay, I've only played the demo, but I sort of didn't enjoy it. Mario Kart 8 is pretty good, flawed in spots (ESPECIALLY battle mode ugh), DS version is still king IMHO, but MK8 is definitely worth playing to me. I have no opinions on DKCTF as I don't even own it, same to Hyrule Warriors.

Really? IMO, gen 5 is the best gen.
I feel the total opposite. It's my least favorite generation, I didn't like the main titles and I really dislike the region and the characters (especially Cheren and Bianca). There were some cool Pokemon though (Stoutland especially).

None, even if I was a MLP fan (personally can't stand it), I wouldn't like any of this at all. Smash Bros should stick to what it is, not invite characters that does not belong.
I'm not saying they need to be in or something like that, I'm just doing something that even though is impossible to get them in, I like making them posts.

I dunno, I really liked the character of N. He was the most well-developed character in Pokemon history, imo. I was seriously hoping for a cameo in X and Y, but I guess the music easter egg had to do.
I had actually made a timeline at one point of all the games. What I had was the events of Black and white, and then Black and white 2 three years later.
I said X and Y wcoincided with the events of Black and White 2, and that N traveled to Kalos, explaining why there are statues of Reshiram and Zekrom. He stayed in Kalso for 3 years, and then traveled back, where we see him in B/W 2.
It makes sense, anyway. The other series are also connected through Cynthia, and Team Rocket (such as HG and SS being a sequel to Gold and silver more than a remake)

I guess. And it could be because it's just how I am, but I always felt it was just an overreaction.
Then again, most other felt it differently, so maybe there's just something I'm missing.

Don't ask questions like this and then try to restrict people's answers. It's dumb. Plus, this is the wrong place to ask that since a lot of people here don't like MLP.

As someone who does, however, I'd pick any 2 character combination between Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Spike. Just to completely disregard your..."rules". ¦3

If I were to go along with them, however, It'd be any combination between Vinyl Scratch, Spitfire or Octavia.

But nothing of the sort would ever happen, so you'd best just turn to Brawl Hacks for that. ¦D

And it's "allowed", by the way.
Oh, sorry about that but thank you.

*sees people talking about Pokemon*
I don't know much about Pokemon, what else are they talking about
"MLP"
...bye
You were talking about me, that's all

You ever played Okami or Professor Layton and the Lost Future? Those two made me cry, Xenoblade came close. But yeah Mystery Dungeon was lame IMO, the second ones were better.

But still, my answer would be "none". I'd rather not add in unnecessary characters at all. Even if someone waved a billion of dollars in front of me, I would not want to compromise the theme of the franchise. This goes for any non-video game franchise for Smash. I'd rather save the resources/dev time for characters that do matter to Smash.

I am such a killjoy I guess.

PMD was my first pokemon game. It's what got me into pokemon. I love it. It is one of my top fav. Games to this day. It was one of my first Nintendo games. I've come so close to 100%ing it over the years that I've owned it. I love the sequels and I own every game. All 6 of them. PMD is one of my favorite series.

And speaking of Pokemon Spin-offs, who else wants another PKMN Ranger game? I know I do.

I've never played Pokemon Ranger but I've heard the 2nd game is really good, but the 3rd game was apparently bad?

No. Guardian signs was pretty good actually. You might just be thinking of the third PMD game.
I'm really not sure which is better, Guardian Signs or Shadows of Almia. The first one was good, but not as good as the 2nd and 3rd ones.

Black and White's stories were good, but they weren't interesting to me. All I do with Pokémon games is complete them as soon as possible, but since getting Pokémon from PokéGen is hard on the 3DS, I go to competitive battle simulators and do matches there.
X/Y are boring to me, honestly. They improved the gameplay with Mega Evolutions and all that, but the story is boring. I don't know what to do after beating the game. I'm not fond of the X/Y anime either.

What exactly do you mean by, "The Second Ones"? Mystery Dungeon is the name of the entire series, not just the first games.

Yeah, I'm in the same position. I just play the games, beat them and do post-game content and I'm done. I have no interest in multiplayer battling because it requires me to do these metagame stuff I'm not interested in. I actually though BW's story was ehhh though, I heard it picks up right at the last 10 minutes but it doesn't feel like worth the payoff. The pacing in that game annoyed me and I honestly hated the characters, especially Cheren, he looks so pretentious. Ugh...

And yeah, XY's story sucked. Everyone feels so mindlessly happy and your rival is really lame... Also Shauna is so lame, I can't stand her and her "YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND EVEN THOUGH WE BARELY MET, LET'S HOLD HANDS AND WATCH FIREWORKS".
